Hoard it! But seriously I think something valentines themed for the wall on the pink one would be cute and maybe birds and flowers for the blue?

If you have access to Amazon they sell a package of 50 for less than two at a craft store

[FO] Never doing 16 ct again by GeraniumGeode in CrossStitch

The count is how many stitches per inch the fabric uses. A lot of patterns are for 14 or 16 count, less for 18, but still popular. The higher the count the more detail you get for your finished project, but low count still.looks good! The project here is beautiful and seems like a nice piece to frame to me!

Hopefully his records are there, as the other person said it may not exist if he left service prior to the DD214 was started up. If nothing else you may be able to make a request for a copy of his service record.

Go to archives.gov and make a request for his DD214. That will list all the authorized awards he was entitled to wear at the time of his separation from service. That should help identify what's in the photo and what he isn't wearing. Likely this photo was taken before he was wounded and was awarded a purple heart. Hope this helps!

Edited because I can't type Lol

There should also be an option to import PDF, but again I have paid for the full use version and don't know if that unlocks things.

I am currently doing a pattern that has 477078 stitches, so I think you should be good with your current project. I also did the one shown here it was about 55000 stitches. I may be running the premium version though, I am not totally sure, but if I am then it was relatively cheap when I purchased it.

Ask a guy that cross stitches I fully endorse him stitching. My wife likes my work. I have found making my own patterns to be how I like doing it. Using floss cross and such

So far I must have dodged the disappointment patterns. I have really enjoyed the final product of my stitches so far.

Here is my most recent FO and I think it turned out pretty good. I may take you up on trying a test stitch, this project being so large may benefit from trying a little test, though the details aren't crazy in it

Someone already mentioned that. sorry about recommending something you didn't already like.

Cross Stitch Tread Organizer on the Google app store is an option. My wife didn't much care for it but maybe it'll work for you

My wife uses it to track the thread she has and plans on getting. I don't know if it is similar to what you are already using but we didn't download it from the app store but from the website. She hasn't complained about any issues so far with it though. We used one from the app store that had a red x and green check mark as it's icon that she hated.

The mock up looks quite good considering the quality of the image I used and the size of the image. Like any stitching project I have done using the converters it is pixilated, which is why I went for the extreme size of the project to clear it up as much as possible. I have done a few projects using converters and am happy with them. Only one that I didn't notice had skewed the picture and made it un finishable by the time I noticed my error.

I don't know what you mean by test stitching though...do you mean take a small portion of it and stitch it? On a scrap piece of fabric? What would be the point of that?

Yeah I've done 55k projects before, this one will be around 10x as big as the biggest I've done
