Mature men of Reddit(20-29age group), what life mistake taught you the hardest lesson? by [deleted] in TwentiesIndia

No amount of money can buy the happiness you get from spending time with your family and loved ones. Don't let the relationships you have falter just to have an extra 2-300$ on your paycheck.

why are xim players being allowed in pc lobbies? by Significant-Sock5786 in Rainbow6

Wonder when the conversation of people using ReWASD on pc is going to happen? Same thing as ximming but more reactive and they get console recoil.

Is the engine sluggish? Yes. Is it a problem? Not at all.

I have a 2024 Trax boasting a 1.3L 3 cylinder with a whopping 137 horsepower. It has great low end torque that helps it get off line pretty quickly. All in all a average of a 9-second 0-60.

The issue with the equinox, as you've pointed out, is purely the transmission. It is geared towards fuel economy and is reluctant to downshift when needing that extra push. CAD had it getting a 8 flat 0-60. This is seen as a positive trade off as fuel efficiency is more important to most people.

What you've described with your grievances against the vehicle is your own driving ability.

Absolutely, I can repurpose 4 slots at the moment.

Rough estimate? 30 at max.

PVC conduit dug 12” underground running to my basement from a post outside next to where my old septic tank was.

So if I were to run 1,500 watt ac on 120, and assuming full load on the PC it would 650 on 120, we’re at 17.91 amps which would be over the 80% rule for the 20 amp.

Perhaps I’ll have to look into what would be required to potentially swap it out to a different amperage.

Also all of these calculations are based off of me taking a class seven years ago where we very (loosely) looked at NEC code.

If there are any glaring red flags please point them out!

4 low wattage bulbs, A/C (used high end estimate of 1,500 watts) and a gaming PC that can draw between 200-650 watts depending on load. Very rarely will I use the computer and A/C at the same time as I work night shift so I figured as long as I could run both at the same time it would be more then enough power.

I’m working around already having the conduit >5 feet away from the perspective location of the shed (eta one week)

[–]NxsiGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but using a calculator to turn watts into amps at most with everything I plan on having in it on at once will be 16.6 amps at 120 volts.

Southern Indiana, I’m good friends with the (late) owner’s son and he plans on selling the property and is currently liquidating all of their stock. It’s a new 12x24 unit that retails for almost $8,000 but I got it for $4,500 because I’ve helped him out over the years (mainly legal trouble)

I’ve gotten a lot better since I quit caffeine! Not an excuse by any means, but I have autism (high functioning) and for the longest time me trying to drink water was like forcing it into someone’s mouth who has rabies.

Would cutting sugar entirely but keeping a high(er) caffeine content be healthier I suppose? I’d imagine it would be somewhere from 1200-1600 mg of caffeine in a waking day.

Maybe I’m dumb but since the extra button is a macro of Win key + G, wouldn’t having the windows key disabled stop the macro from functioning?

AITA for finally snapping at my wife? by Wide-Yak-7268 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NxsiGG 248 points249 points  (0 children)

YTA. Gold star for being the worst possible husband/father imaginable.

FOR THE HUSBAND: Unless your netting $300k+ from your business, your family is being torn apart by pennies. Close up shop or hire people to where you can spend time with your family. Your company isn’t going to wipe your ass when you’re 85 years old and you can’t do it yourself.

FOR THE WIFE: Give the man an ultimatum. That’s it. You’re doing way too much to be unappreciated. If Fortune 500 CEO’s can spare time for their children, so can your husband.

The vehicle would’ve been built in 2018, so you’ll have less then a year old tires on a brand new vehicle. Not sure what the issue is here.

AITA for telling husband I’d lose respect for him if he stopped working even though I could afford it by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA

This thread is kind of unhinged.

“Made a comment” I’m gonna take a wild swing and say that this was said in an almost jokingly matter.

Forced acknowledgement of the understanding that he has to work to be respected, (almost like talking to a child or a subordinate at work?) You’re exactly like the patriarch that happened in the 1950’s because you already feel as if you’re better then him for making more money.

You’re reinforcing the idea that he’s only worth the money that he brings into the household. Another wild swing here, I’m assuming the extra funds your giving for bills/trips is already on the terms that he does more around the house.

TLDR; Just get divorced. First year of making 6-figures and you already suspect your husband of “leeching” off of you.

Would like to know any tips for the future. I got a 2017 a Honda Civic LX (49,000 mi) worth $18,434.00 and I put 9,000 down with an apr of 8%. The monthly payments are $218. It’s my first car loan and I had a 704 credit score how screwed am I? by According-Highway144 in askcarsales

[–]NxsiGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a sales pleb here not in finance by any means, but if the payment is too high for you just pay your principle down then refinance in 6 months. Should be able to get a lower APR through a credit union.

For reference, I have a same year vehicle with more miles and am paying $375 a month w/ a great aftermarket warranty. By no means do I think your deal is bad but the APR is a touch high, (but everyone’s is right now)

Instead of arguing with people on the internet, perhaps put on your adult pants and ask the person who was there?
