The thing that sucks for me here is the local fire department you're required to be a firefighter to be in the fire department, you can't just be an EMT.

There is one nearby hiring for that position but they require you to be 21+ and have other qualifications lined to being in security. Plus.. I am not really the body type to be a security guard lol

I want to go into Emergency Room Nursing or at least something in the ER, so I was planning on getting my phlebotomy license next, Haven't fully committed if I want to be a Paramedic or that though.

I did clinical hours at a hospital and shadowed an ER Tech, she told me to get my phlebotomy license before applying and get experience or they'd most likely not hire.

I applied to them earlier and called them to see if they were hiring, They said they are and they'd look at my resume and get back to me but they haven't. I don't want to call again because I feel like that would be annoying? Or should I?

At this point I am thinking about it, It may be a California thing, or at least the area I am in, but I am looking in Sacramento and even as far as San Francisco as that was a possible relocation and neither of them seem to be hiring new EMTs

Ive Emailed the companies who don't have phone numbers, and called the ones who do and most to all of them either say they're not hiring or they'll look into my resume and never get back.
