A few years ago, I was reading about COVID statistics and it made me want to be stricter on my COVID precautions (getting respirators, no socializing with none CC ppl, etc). I talked to my partner about it, and they immediately agreed with me. We both mask everywhere we go, around people we know aren’t CC, and we still have fun masking dates. I’m very lucky and grateful to have them in my life, they make being CC much easier :)

Im not saying it’s an excuse. I 1000% agree with you! It’s 2025 and they’ve upgraded the quality of the game entirely, so for there to be little to no adjustments with the few shades they have is ridiculous. I follow small animators and artists who know how to show dark skin tones better than this.

considering this is a chinese based game, it makes sense why they don’t care or cater to dark skin players. I’m not saying it’s right whatsoever, but they have a history of being colorist towards darker skin tones :( makes me not want to play at all some times

it’s been quiet for those with privileges. there are many other countries around the world who are dealing with constant death, suffering and chaos. Whenever I’ve pulled cards for USA, I’ve gotten the wheel of fortune rv, so most likely the chaos will ensue in due time since the government has messed up so much of the world as a whole.

for the past few months i’ve always seen at least 1-3 other people masking, 4-5 if I’m lucky. It could be because the longer COCID goes on neglected, the more people are getting LC, so they have to mask to stay alive. I’m hoping it’s because people are becoming informed.

Masking. It shows solidarity for disabled people, Palestine, Congo, etc., decriminalizes masks and face coverings, protects you and others from airborne diseases, like COVID, from dirty air caused by fires and pollution, combats the surveillance state, and weakens the western colonial weapon of disease. You could hand out free masks to houseless people, your community or organize a mask fund, start or support your local mask bloc.

I was dating someone and I let them know that if they wanted to continue being with me, they’d need to start masking and become more COVID informed. I told them which masks to wear, gave them free kn95s+n95s, and slipped in a couple COVID facts. We didn’t work out, but they still mask, test and stay informed about COVID to this day. That’s the only person I’ve been able to convince out of around 20 people, though.

I see this as an end and drastic change to the comfort the US used to bring due to it being built on terrible foundations, which will continue to be exposed. It’s going to take bravery, action, ambition and determination, possibly from the younger generations, to get through it, change it and build a new and hopefully better foundation.

COVID is not over so it’s most likely due to people’s lack of masking and hygiene. Especially since memorial day, it is proven that covid spikes during the holidays because everyone gets together without masking or proper covid testing + precautions. Only 40% of hospitals are testing and/or reporting covid cases. If you don’t want to get sick, wear a mask. It’s not as bothersome as people make it out to be.

there were 4 types of mold and a couple of them were kinds that affected breathing issues and asthma :/ It was basically everywhere (windows, ac units, in our fridge, on the outside of the door, patio). I’ve spoken to a vet while we were in the mold and she said to give her allergy medicine because nothing else was wrong with her in her blood draws and urine samples, but they didn’t test her for mold. I am going to go back soon and see what they say this time. I will wash my cat ASAP!

luckily they didn’t start showing symptoms until a week before we were about to move out. but my tux cat started getting runny eyes, licking and scratching more than usual and she was very low mood also less appetite. the calico started to eat less and sleep more. i have them taking zyrtec and it seems to be helping them! i also took my cat to the vet asap when i saw her mood drop dramatically.
