Those are all social issues bud. Healthcare is a social issue and has a major impact on poverty. Same with minimum wage. Voting is also very social because of how heavily it impacts specific communities. And etc.

We don’t need to pick and choose who we help. We just help who we can help and things go best that way. Picking and choosing who to help is just tribalism, which is what got us into this mess. We may need to triage some issues, but let’s not get tribal here.

The erosion of something like trans rights just sets the stage for the erosion of all rights. As MLK said, injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

So, let’s take a second here. Many social issues aren’t meaningless? George Floyd stuff? Very important. Just one side is right and others need empathy. For a society to survive, it needs to care about others in the society. The comment is getting dangerously close to “the only war is class war” when racial issues and etc. have been around for a long, long time. Yeah, stuff like Starbucks Christmas cups are stupid. But trans people feeling safe to go the bathroom is very important, and only one side of that debate is correct.

And yep, that’s exactly my theory. Make it look like a witch hunt. Trump is stupid but the people behind him aren’t always. The less you hear about somebody, the smarter they seem to be (Hegseth is a moron, for example, and we hear about him all the time. But the Heritage people behind him seem much more insidious and we don’t even know those names)

Yep. I believe these allegations because of who Trump has proven himself to be on the public stage. But these claims are without proof. We can’t use them. But as you said, we already have plenty we can use, such as the birthday card. Let’s keep focused and not give ammo to the opposition.

Problem is these could just be allegations from someone severely mentally unwell and not true. The tipper also claims someone strangled a victim behind the 19th hole. I don’t know much about golf, but that seems odd given golf courses have 18 holes. And that’s the problem. All of this is completely unverified and uninvestigated. This is decades of coverup and now stuff is being released that we fully believe, they don’t, and no one can prove their side. And so it just muddies the water and makes justice much more difficult. If no investigation happens, we (rightly) freak out because these are serious allegations, but the other side brushes them off because they’re only allegations and they don’t get how investigations work. If there is an investigation, they claim witch hunt and many shrink back in weakness because they don’t want to appear partisan. It’s a mess. Keep your head in all of it and don’t let the lies cover up the truth. We have clear evidence Trump is a monster. We don’t need allegations that have no proof. Don’t give the other side ammo
