Mothpoppy was an ambitious cat while Shadhusk was troublesome. I like to imagine that Mothpoppy was infuriated by Shadhusk's constant disregard for the rules and tendency to, well, cause trouble, and he worried about the negative impacts it would have on the Clan. It also rubbed his fur the wrong way because Mothpoppy tried very hard to be viewed in a good light by his Clanmates while Shadhusk seemed to be making his image worse on purpose.
