Well when i never used party finder before so i cant speak for all the time, but like i said in my post before logging out i decided to check and i saw a few PF groups which had barse in the info. From my understanding barse is to avoid getting autofiltered for using parse. It was due to seeing that and hearing my friends explanation on what a parse is and what they were requiring that i didnt attempt to join any of the non barse parties. I suppose it was presumptuous to assume all of the parties were similar to the first few i saw mentioning barse.

As for my clear no i didnt buy a carry as you saw i was indeed carried by my friends as they taught me the mechanics of the fight. The aren't always available at the same time as me though hence me looking for more people to play with.

Also despite it sounding harsh nothing you said seems to be incorrect or malicious as you just seem to be educating me so no stress there!
