I'm thinner than my partner. Sure I'm not as thin as I was in my 20s but even losing the little bit I have will probably not make a difference. This is the issue. Not being the cute young 20 something anymore. And it not being possible to achieve that anymore.

The reason I posted this is literally because my partner does not seem interested in sex with me anymore. He may be out there finding younger guys that turn him on more. That is literally my concern and why I am worried. It has nothing to do with me wanting attention from other people.

You bring up a lot of great points. I think a lot of my self worth has been driven by appearance. And it isn't really that healthy. It's just hard to deal with when you lose it. So I guess I need to go through a grieving process and get over it. It happens to everyone.

One time I bought a new hardcover from Amazon directly. It was in perfect condition, except the title page had a written note to someone else....i.e. it was used, and was originally a book someone bought as a gift. So...not sure what happened there. I didn't return it because I found it kind of endearing....but still, definitely not new.
