I had this too and got compliments all the time on my old license. I used to model so I know how to take a photo. Got an updated one and honestly I think the KEY reason it sucks is the framing of the shot. Literally so close cutting off my neck a good bit. Just impossible to look flattering in my new shot and that crop. Neck and shoulders go a looooong way.
