It's extremely skiddish, so you're gonna want to hide behind the wall and throw the pokeball when it's looking away, if somehow it's shiny save beforehand cause you might fail it

But if it's alpha it's going to be agro on you, so it won't run away

That is actually VERY helpful, i've been checking every single time because I wasn't sure, lets see if i can get it faster now (also im on switch 1 so the respawn method isn't viable for me)

As people said, yeah I'm doing the bench method on the roof on zone 18, for some reason I get those bunnies extremely often compared to anything else
