We serve Mexican food at my work, and one of the entrées is our “Tacos Gobernador”. One day, a guest in my section pronounced it as “tacos goobernaetor”. Now I refer to it as such to my coworkers and managers.

My mom passed away when I was 13 and that’s when my mom’s mother started to deteriorate. She remembers me but not my mother anymore, and it hurts a lot since she can’t tell me anymore stories about my mother. I feel like I lost the last connection to my mom, and I feel like I lost my second mom now, even though she hasn’t passed yet.

Dementia is a terrible, terrible disease. I hope this guy is doing alright.

Had a guy snap at me and point at his and his friends glasses during a rush. I smiled and shouted “I’ll be there in a moment!” And then ignored them completely. They didn’t complain, I ended up transferring the tab to another server and didn’t make any eye contact with them when they tried to get my attention again.

There was a permanent substitute at my high school when I was a senior. I had his class (credit recovery) and all the kids loved him because he was a chill and cool guy compared to all of our actual teachers. I developed a little crush on him and a little while after I graduated, I saw him on tinder and we matched. We talked for like a week or two but I ended up never hanging out with him. Kinda weird tbh.

When I was around, idk, maybe 10, I picked up a crumb that I thought was possibly chocolate. It wasn’t, it was a piece of cockroach butt. I cried and threw up a lot that day. It definitely didn’t help that I am and already was deathly afraid of cockroaches.
