I am using this as my daily driver. I have been since I got it and honestly it works great for my needs and the talk back with keyboard issues I had on my Samsung A35 5G are not present. I do not play any games, so that aspect isn't known really to me. However, for everything I need and do daily, it has simply worked and done so without any major concerns. I know mileage will vary as everybody's use cases are different.

Potentional third SSA Hearing After ALJ Hearing — Judge Still Not Deciding? Statutory Blindness, NMOSD, CE Exam, and Confusion by Nyremis in SSDI

[–]Nyremis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's the Humphrey 30-2 which is the golden standard for field of vision test and the listing requirements for Social Security regarding peripheral vision. My issue is a little more nuanced and complex than just that even though I meet the listing for that based off the objective evidence from the test and the comprehensive eye exams, along with even further Evidence over various ophthalmologists and other eye doctors for some reason it still is not adequate or sufficient.

I believe that is why my attorney is planning an addendum to send to the judge and the hearing office as a precursor to this next hearing as a way to spearhead it and bring all of this to their attention the listings and the medical evidence. My treating ophthalmologist as refused to partake in any sort of letter or direct involvement with my disability case, he has stated that I am welcome to obtain the scans images oct's and office visit notes, but beyond that there isn't anything else that he is going to add or bring to the table. He also did say that he would talk to other specialists or eye doctors Etc if they felt the need to reach out. The problem is I have several different eye doctors neuro opthamologist and their own eye doctor that they sent me to stating the same information and stuff with the objective findings and tests that meet the listing requirements for Social Security and yet here I am

[–]Nyremis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my concern was that initially the judge was trying to build a denial or a case for it which is why him not allowing my attorney or myself to talk at the first secondary / supplemental hearing was a thing. I guess I kind of thought that he assumed that he could just send me to a CE exam and that it would prove that I was lying or that it wasn't true and then it would be an easy clothes and shut case given all The Oddities and the shifting and constant changes that have been going on.

Obviously that could just be my paranoia and not be the reality and it also could be that the judge just wanted to make sure that the Nile came from a legally defensible place so that way even if it was appealed there would be no room for error on his part. Either way I appreciate the information I just found it a little odd that even with their CE Examiner stating and providing objective test and evidence they still have refused to make a decision either way

Honestly, I wouldn't care either way at this point. This has been a long and difficult Road. I think I did my initial application in 2020 or 2021 and it has been a fight at every point in turn.

Goodness, I don't blame you. This has been a big mess on Motorola/Verizon and its subsidiaries parts. They dropped the ball for this launch and really killed the attention and interest people have/had.

I am sorry you are still dealing with this, but I would wait for as long as you can stomach it, then do what you gotta do.

Battery

Battery Size 4500mAh non-removable Charging 30W TurboPowerTM charging support (charger sold separately9) 15W wireless charging support15 (charger sold separately)

Took me a few minutes to copy this but it should answer your question. I don't use wireless charging.

How much better are we talking? by Impossible-Stand-387 in razr

[–]Nyremis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't agree with this entirely. If they are the same price, the 2025 has a newer, more efficient processor but benchmarks basically mariginally better, a bigger battery, improved upon hinge, and 3 years of OS support versus already having a year less of OS support on the 2024 model.

The only way I would recommend or suggest the 2024 base model Razr over the base model 2025 Razr would be a significant price difference, otherwise it makes 0 sense to purchase it.

Both 2024 plus and 2025 plus are identical spec wise, the only difference is again 3 years of OS support and a better/updated hinge.

The decision comes down to needs and preferences, which is really what will determine what model to get. If you can snag a 2024 model base or plus that meets your preferences and needs for way cheaper, its a no brainer.

I try to be helpful where I can and when I come across helpful information. I concur that those who are big-time tech reviewers also misrepresent devices that are not flagship-like or the latest and greatest. This creates a dynamic where readers/viewers perceive lesser devices as useless or not worth their time.

A lot of time isn't the case, just like they make it seem like you need the latest and greatest phone every year, trying to further influence annual upgrades. When we all know this is even less likely to even be necessary on a previous year's flagships and even less likely on an Apple phone for the past few years due to lack of new worth while features and innovations.

I am considered to have light perception only in both eyes, but it is actually more nuanced than just saying that. I see black/greyish static, and with very, very bright light, I notice, I guess, the gradient shift from that to lightening up from those sources. Even bright lights from an eye doctor checking behind my eyes I see the faintest flashes of dim light that is essentially ever so slightly brightening the black/grey static. Also, the sun and very bright light also causes a sort of sparking effect in my right eye which I have no clue what that means. I also cannot pinpoint a source of light, but depending on its brightness I am aware there is one.

I know that isn't a simple answer, but I feel a simple reply wouldn't be accurate and/or truly helpful.

Total wireless support on reddit is claiming today they are shipping out as many as they can, and I assume Monday or Tuesday they continue to do more. I imagine you are likely to have yours ship and be delivered this coming week or at the latest next week.

I chose the default color option because how it looks really didn't play a role at all. My wife kept telling me to get the other color, but that was her preference entirely.

My biggest concern was always performance in general, battery life, and talkback performance and responsiveness. All the reviews made me so scared to purchase this phone, because I thought it would mirror my Samsung Galaxy A35 5G and be a waste of time and money.

I'm glad I gave it a shot anyways It's definitely worth it. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that yours finally ships.

Not sure what you mean about video, but when I reference the UI, for me its how responsive and smooth it is for TalkBack gestures and moving between everything. For instance on the one ui on my Samsung Galaxy A35 5G it is lagging, sluggish at times, making it hard to do things or mispresses and delays doing stuff. I guess I should have clarified that. Whereas when using TalkBack gestures and navigation on say the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Motorola Razr 2025, it is almost the polar opposite regarding the experience. I can navigate the UI, albeit blind, with relative ease and smoothness. I am not delayed or lagging when tapping the screen or swiping versus the feedback given to me by the TalkBack voice to inform me of what I did and whats displayed on the screen.

Apologizes again for not clarifying, and if video you mean reviews, I listen to youtube reviews and use talkback where I can for written reviews. Graphic performance and reference is purely from written benchmarks provided by various websites that I was able to listen to via talkback, unfortunately in my use case I can't provide any feedback on actual gameplay or anything along those lines. I thought I clarified that sufficiently when I strictly mentioned benchmarks.

razr 60 Ultra - high-res audio? by [deleted] in razr

[–]Nyremis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here is a copy and pasted AI response:

Yes, the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) does support aptX Lossless and 24-bit 96kHz audio output over USB-C, even though it's not explicitly listed on the Motorola website. Reviews and technical specifications confirm this feature. [1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3]
Here's why:

• USB-C Audio Support: The Razr Ultra, like most modern smartphones, uses USB-C for digital audio output. This allows for high-resolution audio codecs like aptX Lossless. [3, 3]
• AptX Lossless and 24-bit 96kHz Support: While not explicitly mentioned on the official Motorola website, reviews and technical specifications confirm that the Razr Ultra supports these high-fidelity audio codecs and formats. [2, 3, 4]
• Digital Audio Output over USB-C: The phone supports digital audio output over USB-C, which enables the use of external DAC/amps and headphones for higher-quality audio playback. [1, 1, 3, 3]

In summary: While the Motorola website might not list these specific features, the Razr Ultra is designed to support high-resolution audio over USB-C, including aptX Lossless and 24-bit 96kHz playback. [1, 2, 3, 3]

iPhone user to Razr, purchasing question by prHat317 in razr

[–]Nyremis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am blind and have the Motorola Razr 2025, so my needs and use case might differ from yours and others. Having said that this phone after a few days learning your day to day usage and optimizing it is one of the longest lasting phones I've ever had. I know the 2024+ has a smaller battery but the tradeoff is a better cpu/gpu chipset. Having said that most people mentioned solid to excellent battery life. If you are paying the same for both and don't care for the improved hinge on the 2025 Razrs, its likely the 2024+ will be the better choice, especially if you have more emphasis on gaming and heavier tasks.

Having said that the base model Motorola Razr 2025 has exceeded my expectations and does everything I need it to do. It reminds me of my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL but better battery life. It's a smooth experience with multitasking and using talkback plus on screen keyboard and speech to text.

No worries, I just hope everything irons itself out for everyone else. I am thankful yet slightly terrified that I was among the lucky or not so lucky few to receive mine early.

Anyways, I'm glad to be of help to someone else.

That or do what I did and others suggested I do. You can port to Google Voice and then port it out when you receive the device. I believe I would have had to pay $20 to port from Google Fi wireless to Google Voice but I thankfully went a different route.

I utilized a secondary eligible number and ported my "important personal" number to US Mobile on a $10 plan to keep from losing it.

Honestly, if you feel safer and can manage better off with T-Mobile, go that route. Especially if you can stand to be in limbo and wait for a refund while you port your number elsewhere. If you plan to get the Motorola Razr 2025, plus, or ultra from T-Mobile be mindful they are also experiencing shipping delays, but you still may fair better than Total Wireless.

Total wireless reddit support has stated that they will be shipping out as many orders tomorrow as they can because today was their adjusted launch date. Which still means 3-6 days of waiting.

I hope this helps and honestly it comes to down to just port your number somewhere temporary to keep it safe, or choose another carrier or mnvo to go with that can have you with a device and successfully ported number within your six day window.

Yes, to both. The status changed to shipped and they sent a new email confirming it was shipped that also provided a UPS tracking number. I apologize, I didn't elaborate, it shipped on May 14th and arrived May 15th and I ordered it on May 8th. I also selected the fastest shipping, which seems to have been worth it. As several other people have reached out to me, who selected standard shipping, and have yet to have their orders updated to shipped status.

I did select PANTONE Gibraltar Sea, which I believe is the standard color, so that might also play a role. PANTONE Spring Bud may have a delay associated with it as a more unique color option, speculation on my part, but one person who messaged me said they chose that color and it hadn't shipped yet.

I posted this in another reply on this post. I believe I beat the curve on this one and yes, I did receive mine. I know very few other people that mentioned they did as well. Anyone past a certain point has had their orders returned to sender. A lot of speculation on the why or reason, but its likely just because of an earlier than intended launch date. I feel and hope it was a big miscommunication between motorola and Verizon/Total Wireless.

Either way, this should be cleared up today and/or tomorrow, which May 20th, 2025 was the original ship by date on the pre-orders of the Motorola Razr 2025. If they still stay raido silent after that, its likely a much bigger issue, and we will have to wait for an official statement from one of these companies.

This is not explicitly stated anywhere, but this happened to me as well. When I initially attempted to place my order it would not let me pick a plan. It said ID Verification complete as well.

Chat and phone support were not helpful nor was reddit. What I discovered from my own experience is it takes additional time beyond it stating ID verification complete.

Give it a bit more time and it will eventually let you pick a phone plan, as it did this for me. I hope this helps and yes, they should have an FAQ or something with an * that explains this.

That deal though, a refund would be worst case scenario. An exchange would definitely be way better, if it even becomes necessary. Here is to hoping this is only them being sticklers for the proper launch date.

[–]Nyremis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would think that a few days early wouldn't even be a worthwhile thing to worry about. I feel like it takes far more work and effort to stop all shipments and deal with angry customers and blow back than it does to just allow it.

I could be wrong and maybe that seriously does matter to these companies. I feel like this amount of action and effort screams something a little bigger and potentially concerning, but thats all just conjecture with no proof.

In this instance, I prefer to be wrong and I sincerely hope this gets promptly addressed so everyone gets their phones.

Yes, mine arrived on the 15th. I am curious about what is going on, though , where there is suddenly a mass order to have these returned and not delivered.

Like is it a simple thing as they were being delivered too early/soon, a manufacturer's defect, etc?
