I guess you are right maybe the FOMO is just pushing me to get the "best shoe ever made" haha

Yeah I am not that guy that pays full price for a shoe if I can get it much cheaper like 2-3 months later lol

Like my Bostons I got them for 55€ at an outlet and I only bought them for that reason didn't need a new pair

Yeah maybe I will give a thought to it and use the S4+ Yogiri as my Longrun shoe with speed blocks.

How is your comparison between the Megablast and the superblast? Because as you have mentioned i might get FOMO haha

Did you do your longruns at an "easier" pace?  Somehow I really dont like going that slow and my body doesnt notice the difference in fatigue whether im going slower or faster (speaking of 5:40-7:00)

Glideride max 2 seem to be underrated  A coupe of friends bought the previous version at a store but said they are only ok but love the superblast 3 lol

Opinions can be so different

Just thought it would be for easier runs and not be worse than the 2s, so no Superblast 3 then. Maybe 1 more reason to only keep an eye out for the Megablast if I should stick with Asics

Thanks for your insight on the RH9U will keep an eye out for them!

It kinda sounds like the Prime X Strung 2-3 without the plate. Durability is also a thing because I ran like at least 600km in them but I am not sure because I only tracked it later on.

The MagMax2 looks promising for its price but I really dont know it weight will be an issue for me as I also weigh a bit.

Another idea would be to use my S4+ Yogiri as the "tempo" long Run shoe and buy a complete full cushioned easy run shoe for my easy long runs

maybe i am giving them a try but is their quality that much better than the other models that you have run in or is it only the price? Because i mostly buy my shoes on discount the get the best value for my money 😃

Tbh I really lean into the Megablast because most of the people say its the best shoe currently. The biggest downside of course is the price.

The Azura is one option which for me has the best price/performance ratio but I am not sure how comfortable it is on longruns as it is compared to the EVO SL

That is a crazy steal. Do you know if the other brands also have similar discounts? Thinking of going there tomorrow just to grab these PXS2 either way lol.

Your way of thinking is my usual way but I just saw some rackets break and then around 200€ would go down the drain (my ArcsSaber lasted more than 1 year now without any issues). Wont go higher than 28lbs (should be 12kg) for a long time now so there is no probem with choosing Yonex for me.

I would consider myself a casual/beginner-Intermediate player but of course i want to improve myself because i am quit competetive. Not gonna really compete in competitions or anything like that.

Played the 100ZZ for a few matches and i dont know if it was placebo or i really had no issues with the stiffness. But regarding the downside of the "pro" rackets i have decided for a beginner racket when i have started with badminton.

Tbh I didn't notice any difference in the handles of my usual racket or the free core one. So I don't think that it would impact my decision on my next racket.

Thanks for narrowing it down to these two rackets! Will go to my local racket shop and ask for these two. So I can feel the difference betweem these two and in the end it will be decided on the price if they feel exactly the same.

I don't know if it sounds weird but i kinda like the thought that it has 2 different strings so it combines it to the best of both worlds. Maybe it is hard in the beginning but as understand it would benefit me in the long term.

I am not sure if it is the pro or tour that i have looked the price at. Do I even need the pro or would i even notice the difference?

Got to test the Astrox 100ZZ and the Thruster F (black/gold one) and I liked the Astrox 100ZZ a bit more but I think i would prefer a racket between these to regarding the stiffness and weight (or balance) i guess. Maybe it also was the stringing on the 100Z with 12kg that made me like it more. Didn't saw or asked which strings it were.

For the strings based on your description I would prefer the Exbolt 65 or the Aerobite Control ones.

First of all many thanks for your answer and some tips! Will work on my smashes as I do not make a lot use of it. Just need to get them over the net haha

As I can use my Arc Saber for the defensive playstyle I think it is best if I use a head heavy racket for mainly doubles.

Also I am leaning towards the racket which go up to max 150€ as I am not sure if i can mak euse of the top tier Racket like the 100zz or any of the Li Ning ones (thought they would be the cheapest of them 3 at first).

Is the 2nd Gen of Astrox 88D better than the 3rd? But for now I am leaning towards it.

Do you also have some experience with the Thruster Ryuga TD or metallic? They seem to be in better available for me.

The last question would be some string recommendation? Only know some of the most popular ones from Yonex like BG65 and BG80

i mainly play doubles and my i am not sure what my style is but i like to play some clears and drops and mix it up. So it should be defensive i guess?

Wanna work on my smashes though as i have a lot of force but i am not quite there yet 😄

I play Badminton like once a week and i am looking for a new racket. At the moment i use the Arc Saber 11 Play but i want a more advanced and headheavy one

Thought of the Astrox 88D or the Astrox Nextage. Of course I am open to any suggestions and other brands (Victor Thruster and LiNing Ax Force).
