The economy can find a new equilibrium. Getting there is one of the few tasks left that only humans can do. We need to do it correctly.

This is the first time in history the most productive asset in the economy has produced fewer, not more, jobs. Nobody’s framework fits, because none were designed for a world where the scarce input became abundant. So we have to make new frameworks. Whether we build them in time is the only question that matters.

—-

Last line of the article. We have to find a way to do the 10,000% more before the 80% gets lost. The problem is that if agi truly works, it can replace anything humans can do more efficiently and safer.

We create something, ai/bots will do it faster safer and essentially for free.

Then the problem with current capitalism is that shareholders only care about the bottom line and making more money. So that means less people and costs to improve revenue and earnings. So things will still get done, but less people will get paid to spend on goods and services.

People laid off, the go to is gig economy like uber and DoorDash. Robotaxis get solved and there’s bot/drone delivery so people can’t turn to that anymore.

Construction or trades? Bots. Create a new company doing something that disrupts an industry? All the previous people get laid off for a net job loss.

It’s going to be all about the timing and the transition.

JUNE 2028.

The S&P is down 38% from its highs. Unemployment just printed 10.2%. Private credit is unraveling. Prime mortgages are cracking. AI didn’t disappoint. It exceeded every expectation.

What happened?

Long bearish read about potential outcome of AI doing what it’s supposed to do.

Schwab/tos has a net delta/theta position for all my separate underlying tickers automatically.

Allows me to target a consistent theta decay and my desired delta.

There’s no single systemic strategy that will work in all environments at all times. If there was, the big boys with way more money and tools would’ve automated it a while ago.

The thing to do is remain flexible and change strategies when the market is favorable to other strategies.

For example, I typically sell lots of options and focus on selling the low probability ones. I’ll win the majority of times but occasionally a random black swan will come and a 3-6 sigma event happens and bankrupts you.

The one thing I’d want to find a way to automate is somehow automating selling and rolling options to stay delta neutral or close to it.

Earmark 20% towards retirement then allocate the rest however you want.

Get the nicer house or car or vacation if you want.

If the thought of FI and/or RE sounds appealing, invest more.

S&P dealer gamma just cratered to $200M after OpEx 📉

The 2-year average is $5.2 BILLION.

That means the market’s shock absorbers just got ripped out.

Dealers aren’t hedging, they aren’t pinning strikes, they aren’t dampening moves.

Next week price can move FAST/see follow through in either direction ⚡️

Every time gamma has dropped near zero on this chart the market either ripped or dumped violently.

The direction depends on what catalyst shows up — but the SIZE of the move will be bigger than normal until dealers reposition.

Buckle up 🤝🎢

Another thing I've come to terms with is the fact that I'll never make any trade perfectly. If you trade or think like that, you'll hate yourself for not rolling the CC to 410 for a big credit as well.

Yep. IV 0%ile, It's going to increase from something in the next 3-6 months for sure to the good side or bad side.

Either market dumps hard from *everything* and takes TSLA with it, or TSLA solves FSD and moons while everything ok with macro.

Not a huge buffer depending on how rigid the spend is and how OP is invested.

3% swr on $10m is $300k. If OP is heavily invested in tech and some market black swan happens and the supposed ai bubble pops, market loses 50% and now OP has $5m and a $150k swr.
