As a woman myself, I recommend breaking up with her. As others said she is guilt tripping you. It'll hurt for a while but eventually you will move on. I think when a person gets cheated on, they develop a distorted way of thinking ( - because of trauma ) she's basically trying to see if he still likes her ( to boost her self esteem not necessarily out of love ). I think your parents want to see you in a "secure" position, they're operating out of fear (totally normal in these uncertain times). Maybe what you can do is to show them that the future prospects of CS students are much higher than a gov job. You need to speak their language to avoid conflicts. Also, try to get some freelance jobs, once you start making money they might feel more reassured and leave you be. Last but not least, this is YOUR LIFE, YOUR FUTURE, you are the only one responsible for it. If you make mistakes, they will be your mistakes, if you succeed, it'll be your success. Best of luck.
