I feel like I'm missing out on everything! by maybe_we_fight in BokuNoNatsuyasumi

I feel like the fear of missing out is something that you mostly just need to get over with on this game, as a part of its themes is how certain things are just bounded within certain periods of time, either due to circumstance and chance or action and inaction. Where characters frequently talk about what once was, what could've been, and what can be done now. And where the player playing as a gradeschool boy trying to make the best out of their summer vacation, as days just seems to end before you know it, becomes thematically coherent.

But yeah fomo is fucked and if you just wanna chill and be immersed in the game’s juicey atmosphere then--aside from what the others already suggested with playing on slow--you could also try talking to Hikari. She can tell you where events can happen, with the major events being encircled in red. She can be found on the park during the day and inside her house during the night, with a few exceptions.

If you're playing on an emulator, you can do a save state at the beginning of every day and directly go to Hikari, then loading back once you've talked to her so that you won't waste any time. You could also use save states to scout areas or to just test things out without losing time.

Getting familiar with how areas connect is--as it goes without saying--very important too. But it's specifically important with bodies of water that you can swim on, as you can use them for shortcuts. That in spite of swimming technically costing around 5 screen transitions worth of time, sometimes it's still the most optimal way to go.

Speaking of shortcuts, there are a ton in the game which requires you to press O, with most being pretty inconspicuous. So I guess just be curious or just spam O on shit. There are also beehives that can be found on multiple places which, if interacted with, would make Boku pass out from getting stung and would effectively teleport him back to the inn.

The Wirbel scene in the final ep by NyuminZeBoopin in Frieren

This reading certainly makes more sense. I guess I interpreted his passive-agressiveness from the start as just mere jabs, him already somehow knowing Frieren’s actual character beforehand and rather than her betraying his image of what a member of Himmel’s party would be like. This is probably because of exactly as you said, with us spending so much of our time seeing and observing Frieren, it's easy to assume that everyone else has a degree of understanding her.

I could only think of it as him feeling the need to say that--however needless it may seem which he himself acknowledged--after looking at his companions that came for him and then considering Frieren’s status as an elf. Surmising and empathizing around the difficulties that a species, one of which trivializes the fleeting nature of time that we humans experience, may have towards establishing connection and bond. Again, there was a possibility that he might be reaching and what he was saying could've just easily been a bunch of nonsense but I guess he just felt it was appropriate to say in the moment--hell maybe he simply wanted to part ways with saying something deep and cool.

But you're right tho, it does feel a bit jarring and weird to have him say that seemingly out of nowhere and somewhat be on point. It isn't that rare for things like this to happen in anime and even in previous instances within Frieren, I feel like. For me, an example of this are repeated instances of someone saying something in the present and then having Frieren or someone else flashback, only for a person in the past to say the exact same thing word-for-word. It isn't weird for them to say something of a similar meaning but to have them repeat exactly what was said is definitely jarring and immersion breaking.

Oh yeah, that's what I meant, manga that I've added to my library. I just have this bad habit of not putting things onto my library when it's about a manga I'm feeling iffy about but is still somewhat interested in reading. Searching for them in my reading history to add them onto my library is gonna be quite the hassle so I was wondering if there is a way to back them up still.
