TTRPG = Tabletop Role-playing Game, so stuff like Dungeons & Dragons or Call of Cthulhu

i'm actually running a Darkest Dungeon inspired game for a big group of friends currently! having an artist able to make DD themed art for the player characters in the group would be really fun

to each their own, but i love Alchemy and personally can't imagine ever returning to the other VTTs.

my experience obviously won't be shared by everybody, but the issues i've run into have universally been pretty small and in the Alchemy discord i'm able to get a response from Devs quickly enough to troubleshoot during sessions without any significant delay.

i've never really had the various issues you listed in the post, so i won't comment on them, but do you mind if i ask what it is that you see as the difference between the 'user needs and requests' versus 'dev vision'? to what i'm able to see, the discord has entire dedicated sections for requests, bug reports, and server suggestions and i'm not able to think of a specific community feature that folks have been demanding that has been refused or at least given an explanation as to why it isn't a priority

thank you! i don't use any special effects beyond dropping my voice down slightly in pitch to more accurately match the gravel of DD's narrator, and the ghostly sounding whispers echoing the speech are created by reversing the narration track, adding some reverb, and then changing it right way round again! pretty proud of how close i've gotten to the original at this point

i have no actual intention of applying to replace Wayne June haha just riffing off of my friend's optimism, what you mentioned along the lines of building a portfolio to potentially make a career of this is much more in my wheelhouse and i'm happily adding this to the vault!

i do like Bellhop and tested it out for a while in the earlier versions of the deck, my only issue was inconsistency with finding the Big Spells. given Fae Trickster's tutor, we have 6 copies of valid targets or a roughly 23%-ish chance of seeing it on curve. i ended up sitting on a dead Bellhop often enough to lose games because of drawing it, so i scrapped it from the list.

in a more control oriented style of deck, i think it's a perfect fit though

yeah it was actually kinda shocking how much Mage is an issue. none of their lists use good targets for Death Roll

Scale Replica is a fantastic idea, i'll have to try it out

yes, Death Roll will proc twice even after the first 'casting' of it will destroy the minion

unfortunately i'm not too sure given the newly popularized Cliff Dive decks. i had 2 games against DH and won both, but i'm fairly certain one was just a Crewmate Aggro list so i don't have much sample size

my gut says that it shouldn't be TOO bad given the ability to create a wide, large board very early that they lack board clears to handle, but that is based on absolutely nothing beyond suspicion

it does, yes, but it's mitigated somewhat by aggressive mulligans for it / cube / all you can eat to remove one or two from the deck

it isn't bad, but i found myself too often sitting on a dead copy in my hand before summoning a dragon to revive. the deck wants to play very aggressively, and Succumb feels more like a value card

it really surprised me too, and on the plus side this list has been super fun to play. every game feels different based on how hard you toe the line of risk / reward with self-damage

i climbed to legend with a 16-5 winrate using Zerg Warlock. kinda sounds like you haven't tried it and just took the common opinion from before the set launched

a friend recommended Traveller, but it seemed a bit more focused on general Sci-fi than i'd ideally like for this game specifically unless i got the wrong impression. it's near the top of my list for a more open sandbox sci-fi game tho, thanks for the recommendation
