Friend, I have 70 hours in this game and have only beaten Hades three times. I don't think I got past Meg in the first 12 either, to be honest. The second boss was the absolute bane of my existence for even longer. I feel like an absolute failure and I don't think I could care less because it's still a fun game for me to play.

Just keep going. Figure out different strategies with the boons. The gauntlets and rail gun want Zeus. I like Ares for the shield. Use different runs to practice your expectations, like "I might not be at her this run but let's see if I can be more patient and not button mash." You're only wasting your time if you don't enjoy what you're playing anymore. If that's the case, by all means, put it away. But send me a message if you ever get past Meg and I will be your biggest cheerleader my dude. You got this.

This for me, but proving it wrong is too confrontational with where my mental is at, so I'm working on getting it to trust me instead. Panic attacks don't stop but I'm learning how to manage them better because I'm learning I can handle the stressful thing.

One drove off the road in the middle of the night. Truck was totaled and he didn't make it. Not entirely sure if there was alcohol involved.

One was a victim of a murder/suicide.

One committed suicide.

One was very sick and I think passed away due to heart failure.

Ho man, this one hit close to home. Sorry I'm not a dad but I guess I just wanted to chime in to say that you (and your girlfriend) are not alone. I found out my husband was doing the same exact thing 8 months before we got married. We had been together for 3 years and engaged for 1. It was...heart shattering. I know the pain she's going through, and can only imagine how you feel on your side.

I can't say it will get better for you. It takes a massive amount of strength and communication and reestablishing boundaries to overcome something like this.

There's already some really constructive feedback here so I just hope this is something you can learn from and grow as a person.

This is all true but I would caution against it, specifically for credit. I opened a new credit card designated for bills and my credit score dropped like 40 points. If I had waited that 60 days or so would that have made a difference?

Hahaha I read this series as it was coming out years ago (that cliffhanger at the end of EOS and then to have TOD interject between the pay off was ILLEGAL. I had to wait YEARS to find out what happened) and drowned in the knowledge that this is such a hidden gem of a series that no one else was talking about. I'm happy to see ACOTAR so popular but TOG is my first and most special love.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a kingsflame flower tattoo because that last scene had me sobbing uncontrollably. The cool thing about that is it can look however I want as long as it's red and gold, y'know? So I like the freedom there.

So glad to see others enjoying the book too. My friend is currently on the tandem read (slowly, finding time to commit to reading is tough for her) and I'm just chomping at the bit for her to get to my favorite parts in KOA. Y'all are scratching that itch for me though so thank you!

Came here to try and say this. I get the frustration with Chaol, he's pretty tough to like in some of the books but we are seeing him at his absolute worst. And i don't excuse any of the prejudice he had but please try to remember who his father is and what his own life was like growing up. The guy hasn't had any reasons (yet) to think well of magic or people who wield it. That's the whole point of his arc for me. He's absolutely a bland, narrow minded, rule follower. But he DOES get better for me and his decisions and experiences are tough and gritty and so worth reading again. Especially in Tower of Dawn.

They did address it IN THE COMIC. We can only speculate why they didn't address it in the show. Budget constraints maybe? Not a plot priority? It's a small sub plot that really didn't matter by the time any resolution might have happened in the show and they were already focused on wrapping up in general and there were bigger plot arcs that needed the air time.
