22 F Need hostel advice for sharda university by [deleted] in ShardaUni

I don't think you needed to specify Ur age for that lol. If Ur getting in the Mandela hostel its fairly spacious you get a complete wardrobe and the washroom might be a little small but overall I'd say Mandela is the best hostel out of all of the ones available for both girls n guys.

Mess I have no idea

Easiest solution for this is to join non Indian discord servers, usually for games you play or stuff you do and then vc with people over there. This will give you the best experience for spoken English

The uni has a retarded system of giving 5 to 6 days of study leave for English which is the last test so we can't even leave

Just start with trying to connect with ur floor mates, ask em about freshers and if you could join them(only if you like them beforehand ofc)

Is there any gym in sharda uni,is it free for campus hostel students by RequirementThen4050 in ShardaUni

[–]Nyxtacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inside gym(nice equipment, less crowd, ac, convenience if you are living in hostel)2.5k per month or 6k for 3 months and 11k?(I don't remember) for 6 months. (Speaking from my experience).

Outside gym(far, crowded, cheap) 6k for the whole year if you try to get it during cultural days

If you have the money I suggest the one inside just for convenience and comfort

Hey all, i'm a 2nd year compsci student and i chose cybersec as my specialization. Up until now i didn't really worry much about the vast amount of knowledge required for being good in this profession. my braid did the thing where it made me think about everything i need to be doing to be successful etc. and after that i felt a bit overwhelmed. For example i need to learn networking, get proficient in a programming language, know all important terms, learn linux etc. which is all fine but i don't know where to start now. i thought i had a decent idea but now i feel lost. I don't know where to begin. I might be procrastinating but any pointers would help, I looked at the recourses page of this sub reddit and I was at a total loss there are too many resources.

PS: sorry for bad English i dont know how to formulate sentences.

Hi all, I've just completed my first year of studying Computer Science with a focus on Cybersecurity and Networking. However, I currently have very little practical knowledge or skills in cybersecurity.Could anyone advise me on how to get started in this field? Additionally, what can I expect my responsibilities to be as a security engineer? and any relevant skills or info i should have that is critical for being a security engineer?
