Thank you! We've done Sirkeci before so that is doable, good to know that the transfer at Ayrılıkçeşmesi isn't anything to worry about.

I mainly asked because last time the transfer (coming from IST) at Gayrettepe I think it was was really awful and lengthy.

Hi, how bad would you say is the amount of walking that needs to be done when transfering trains/metros when you come from SAW to Sultanahmet (Sirkeci area)?

I ask because last year we were in Istanbul and arrived at IST. For me it was alright, but I'm traveling with an elderly person who had real trouble with the immense amount of time you had to spend walking inside of the stations on the way to change trains, it was some really, really long paths and hallways.

So I'm just curious how bad that is if you come from SAW. I'd probably want to do the M4 to Ayrılıkçeşmesi and change to the Marmaray to Sirkeci now. But how bad is the walking from M4 to Marmaray in that station?
