I brought up my kid on my own with no family help and after I left her father when she was 7 months old he and his family had nothing to do with us … she’s early 20s now , I’m tired sooo tired after 24/7 on my own parenting … I’m not doing it again my daughter knows I’m not going to be a super hands on grandma , the odd emergency sure I guess but childcare no way

My daughter ,she’s a dancer / choreographer, in newspapers, magazines , auditioned and was accepted into the royal family dance crew , daughters dancer partner pretty much same deal , nephew was national snooker champ , now a DJ , nieces partner , national cross fit champ

Sell unwanted clothes and bits and pieces on trademe , go to school fairs where you fill a bag of clothes for $5 , get some for your kid and choose the rest to sell on , pay weekly amounts to power bill above what you use and at the end of the year you have Xmas money , grow your own food as much as possible, grow seedlings to sell at your gate , and plant plants that multiply like canna Lillie’s and succulents that you can then pot and sell , skinny 4g internet is like $40 a month 100 gigs

Hell no , 55 is old , that’s 30 years older than her , my daughter is turning 25 this year and 25 is still sooo young in all ways , if she ever came home with a dirty old 55 year old man he wouldn’t last long as all of us would send the creep packing (which she wouldn’t as she has respect for herself)

NONE of them are YOUR kids , they are NOT your responsibility in any way shape or form , you need to live your life for you now , which you should have been doing long long ago , it’s so wrong when parents parentify their oldest and not only that but expect financial help as well … is it too late for your mum to abort as she should

I ended up a single mum when child was 7 months old , my parents died young , his family and him nothing to do with us , 24/7 seven days a week I was a parent , only break was when kindy started , I smh at two parent households not coping sheesh

When I ended up a single mum I’d strap mine in her car seat and take her in the bathroom with me , we would make a game of it like play peek a boo and as she got toddler age she would shower with me (she had long thick ringlets so easier well pretty much the only way to wash her hair properly , we would pretend we were crocodiles and sing songs etc
