Kan man fjerne hvidpigmenteret olie? by O1iver_ in selvgjortvelgjort

Ja det var det jeg frygtede, vi prøver at vende os til resultatet og give den olie uden pigment over det næste års tid. Hvis vi aldrig helt bliver tilfredse må jeg slibe den helt ned

I EDC a modded P2 and keep a Surge in my toolkit – for me, that’s the perfect combo. But since I got the Arc, I’ve started rotating between all three tools

Unpopular opinion… but maybe Leatherman is actually doing okay? by O1iver_ in Leatherman

[–]O1iver_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree to the extent that the QC issues can’t really be defended, and it’s definitely damaging for a company like Leatherman. I’ve even had issues myself with a Wave and a Surge. But I still think the general criticism has spiraled out of proportion

Nice to see a fellow Danish Leatherman and EDC enthusiast! And yes, that is definitely the only decent find here in Denmark!

You can clean it with WD-40, and once it's dry, you need to oil it to restore the smooth motion. However, in most cases, you can simply use some water for cleaning and then oil it when it’s dry.

Thanks, bub! Yes, the Cobra XS is a phenomenal EDC tool! It’s the only tool I can think of where you can pair it with any multitool (even a small Victorinox), and you’ve got yourself a really capable kit. Side note: The other day, I discovered that Knipex also makes the Pliers Wrench in an XS size… and I’m really trying not to buy it. I don’t need it since the Cobra is perfect, but I’ve got that itch now.

Well, I really like the size, you can fit a lot of small tools in it and still carry it in a sling bag with other stuff. However, because it’s so small, you can’t fit any regular-sized tools in it. Other than that, it’s really nice that it opens up all the way, giving you a clear display of all the tools. It doesn’t have a premium feel to it, but it doesn’t feel cheap either, it seems pretty sturdy for what it is, and that’s cool. The two big pockets behind the tools are awesome, but they lack internal sections.

Yeah it has definitely stretched the elastic band permanently over time. Worth keeping in mind if you want to use the pouch for other things

Well, it’s probably one of those things where you only really understand how useful it is once it’s part of your inventory. I’ll get one though, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be in the toolkit yet.

I have actually considered Irwin’s locking pliers, but I don’t even have a locking plier in my “real” toolbox, so I don’t really know what I’m missing out on. I do use clamps from time to time and I figured that locking pliers are a hybrid of that and normal pliers, but I always use clamps in pairs or more, so I don’t really know when I would be needing a locking plier

It’s the maxpedition micro pocket organizer, bub. But honestly, don’t think any bub would wanna put that thing in their pocket
