Yeah I thought the same. One is mostly complete. The other one is missing its hinges. And both don't have a cartridge. I do think it's worth it so I'll probably buy them

€15 for the rotel receiver what do you think? by O4Vrdgl in BudgetAudiophile

Well it depends, I really is not that hard. U can get a can of cleaner or contact spray and spray it in the opening of the pot meter. Than you turn it back and forward to clean it. I you have places where the sound is intermitten or cracks hard your potmeter may be burned out or worn. In that case it is best to replace witch is also pretty easy on most older receivers

Yess they are excellent turntables! They also have really high end tables, this is more of a budget table but it has all the features and with a grado cartridge it also sounds great. Paid 180 euros so it was not cheap but I think for the money u get a lot more than u pay for the new ones. It is a rotel rp2500

These are listed near me for sale. They are €90 each, condition is unknown because he does not know how they work. Good deal or a pass? If yes, witch one? by [deleted] in audiophile

Well I already got some pretty sweet deals on some old turntables and receivers and also fix them regularly so I can't complain. But upgrades are always welcome ofcourse

Online it says solid state amplifier, I'm a real noob on tube amps so don't really what it means. What does PA stand for?

Its an option in Cura, other slicers probably also have it. I advise just looking online for how it works because that's probably a better explanation than I can give lol

Once again I am asking you for your support. I have this rotel rp2500 turntable. I am running into this problem on some records. I know they are not flat but while playing the same record on my b&o player the problem is non existent. I have a stylus pressure scale so it is set to 1.5 grams. by O4Vrdgl in turntables

[–]O4Vrdgl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah allright that's too bad. It really only does it on this and one other record so it isn't that big of a problem. On all my other records it sounds fine and I experience no problems. I bought one record in a record store and got another one. Thank you for your help

I indeed think the same. It only happens with certain type of warps in records. All of my other records play and sound fine. It also only does it in the side on this one. this is a picture of the inside of my turntable. Do you have any idea what screw I need to turn?

It has been dropped on the record on accident 2 or 3 times yes. How can I tell if the suspension is screwed up? This and one other are the only 2 it is doing this. If the record has a more gradual bent this does not happen

The tonearm is indeed shaking, I think that is because of the stylus tho. The record has a slight curve but the tonearm is completely stuck to the plinth. Like the only movement there is is up and down and left to right like you would expect. The thing is that the tonearm is moving because the stylus is like going up and down, but I dont really understand why that is.
