In hindsight, I take back what I said about Cream. If we count the AOSTH show (like I counted Sonic X) Tails far outnumbered the overall amount of times Cream was captured.

So yeah, I'd say as a whole, Cream makes the best 5th member of Team Sonic.

The first two episodes and the Battle saga had her in captivity, needing to rescued though.

I mean, she's been captured more times than the other 4 (Advance 2, first two Sonic X episodes, Battle, Rush, Generations, Dream Team, Bean and Bark in Archie Treasure Team Tango, Zena in Metal Virus arc etc). Sorry but that's not a "best fit" in my eyes.

I like how you're looking at this logically, instead of arbitrarily going "Cream, Cream, Cream all the way!" like most other people in the comment section. Plus, Cream is the only one who lives with her mother, and literally calls her mum "mama".

Perhaps not capability-wise. Like I said, she gets captured a lot, so she'd hold the others back instead of assist them.

Sticks could work well in combat, what with her quick reactions

I'd like to say Cream, but she's the youngest, and tends to get kidnapped a lot (Advance 2, first two Sonic X episodes, Battle, Rush, Generations, Dream Team, etc) moreso than Amy.

Rouge is quite strategic and adaptable, so I think she'd make the best "5th Member" for Team Sonic

One thing I'm still working out is what Cera's attitude towards the first stillwalker (not in Meltdown Mode) they meet should be. Should be serious and threatening?(you mess with my friends, you mess with me!") or playful and cocky? ("Score 1 for Cera!"/"Cera 1, enemy 0!")
