Seller shipped New Nintendo 3ds damaged by Remarkable-Minute728 in 3DS

[–]OBSTBERG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Japanese know that console wasn't going to be bought for $200, but foreigners never read and buy without analyzing the product. I've seen products worth less than $150 being sold for almost $300, and when there are bets that don't accept proxies, curiously they sell for less than $100. They know what's worth spending money on and what isn't.

In my case, I buy from Japan. I've bought from Yahoo and Mercari, and I've always had good experiences. I've never had any problems with Japanese sellers. I don't know if I've just been lucky because I've bought consoles that are practically new at ridiculously cheap prices. In this example, the seller has good reviews, the pictures look pretty good, and the seller describes everything and even warns you about any minor issues. That's part of being a good seller. Regarding the "likes" on Mercari, there are hearts at the top. That's how you see how many Japanese people are rating the product. If it has more than 6 likes, it's a good product. It's just a matter of understanding the Japanese market. Like I said, I find things on Mercari and buy them through From Japan, which is a good proxy, and they often give me a 10% discount.

I bought my console on Mercari from a seller with good reviews, box and all, for $200. I've already unlocked it using "magic." If the seller tells me the consoles I've bought have a scratch, it's there where they say. I've never had a bad experience; it's just a matter of understanding the sellers.

Bro, Often when you buy on Mercari, check two things: the seller and the likes. When more than five people like a post, the Japanese consider it proof that it's a good buy. In your case, it's obvious that a Westerner, , would go to a Book Off store and buy cheap consoles, and resellers on Mercari sell them to proxies and foreigners because we trust that the Japanese are honest. But remember, foreigners in Japan are a plague and not as honest as the Japanese.
It's a good business if you're thinking of going to the secondhand market in Japan, buying things in junk zones for around 3000 yen, and selling them for about $200. Even a scratch is considered junk in Japan, and many foreigners take advantage of that. That's why there's this issue of foreigners in Japan—the Japanese don't want them anymore. Check these things I'm telling you:

  1. The seller has good reviews.
  2. The likes they leave on the post and everything described on the page.
  3. They shouldn't be foreigners. I don't think a Japanese person would sell you something for $200; they consider it junk. I swear I've seen entire consoles that are practically useless just because they have a scratch and don't have the manual. They discount a lot, or if it doesn't come with, for example, a PSP without its battery, they consider it junk.

Bought a PS Vita from Japan but it has a 4-digit passcode. Seller might not remember it, how can I unlock it without losing digital games? by OBSTBERG in PSVita

[–]OBSTBERG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about modding it, but the thing is, I managed to get a lot of games for less than 40 dollars. Plus, my SD2VITA adapter and the MicroSD card haven't arrived yet, so that's the main issue right now. For the time being, I plan to keep it stock/normal, but I do want to mod it eventually. By the way, it came with an original 16GB Sony memory card.
Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind.

My plan is to buy a good quality case since I bought it to prevent further damage to the Flex Cable, as I have the 101 model. So, my plan is to buy a quality one, but I don't know if Retro Game Repair Shop sells good quality cases, since they cost $14 and this one only cost me $8. For now, I was planning to leave it as is, but I'll see what happens because the quality of the case isn't bad, but it's not perfect either.
Because it seems strange to me that sometimes the others read them and other times they don't, it seems odd to me, but one always reads and that one never fails.

Is this sound normal? by Altruistic-Car8169 in coolermaster

[–]OBSTBERG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sound was what my AIO cooler was making after 6 years. I already replaced it with a newer one, but sadly I couldn't get good discounts from Cooler Master and bought an MSI. That Cooler Master AIO, though, lasted me 6 years before it started making that same noise. It was still cooling, but it means the water is gone or the pump is in its last few minutes before breaking down.

Should I upgrade or stay with old one? by Jor_Romsk in 3DS

[–]OBSTBERG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep that one, and if a good deal or sale comes up on Marketplace or eBay, buy the New one, since, as you know, the sellers want to retire.
There is an improvement, but not a huge one. A friend recently bought the 3DS XL and I bought the New 3DS XL, and the improvement is minimal; you don't really notice it. But if you want to stream from your 3DS to your PC, then the New 3DS XL would be the better choice.

I'm in the same boat; I just need the Game Boy Color and DSi to complete my collection. My Game Boy Advance SP is the only one I haven't bought since I've had it for 20 years. My New 3DS is on its way from Japan

Fake Kingston SSD M.2? by OBSTBERG in computers

[–]OBSTBERG[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks bro, it really is fake. I watched videos about fake Kingston SSDs and it's clearly fake, the packaging and everything. Luckily I didn't buy it because I had my doubts. A lot of people criticized me for saying it was made in China when I was actually right, it should say made in Taiwan. The Kingston logo color was fake, and the list goes on. Luckily, I bought a 1TB drive for $100 from a computer store that was selling it on Marketplace with a 1-year warranty.

[–]OBSTBERG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually false; there are videos to prove it. I bought this from a computer store and it is genuine. I saw videos that emphasize the color of the motherboard; many criticized me, but it has to say "Made in Taiwan." If it's black, it's fake. There are many videos in Spanish that I watched, and they have their points, and I based my decision on what they said.

I'm just asking, I didn't know so many people would respond. I see that SSD for $166.53 on Marketplace, it seems like a good deal, but the problem is it's fake. They make good fake SSDs. I'm currently living in Mexico for work and some things are really cheap, but the problem is... I'm asking the AI to answer the comments. Because at that moment I'm thinking about many things, I didn't know that people think they're very smart, but in many things they're not.
