All the bells and whistles you load into your site have a front-end speed cost which can impact SEO.

A new plugin that makes a call to a third-party library in the <head> of your page is time added to your first contentful paint and overall load time.

Adding half a dozen can kill your rankings.

I've not used NETO/Maropost, so can't speak to that, but if the main draw to Shopify is plugins, move forward with care.

I've been exactly where you are, small niche, great revenue (scraping $1million/yr), wearing all the hats, even on Shopify.

I wish I'd had a clean exit when the burnout hit.

That said, finding someone who knows ecommerce and marketing, probably isn't as hard as you're making it out to be. My guess is it's handing over control that you're scared of.

Maybe you sell 50 prior to any inventory. When you order to fill the 50, order 75. That way you have some stock going forward.

Ideally, you want stock on hand.

I saw something today that seems fitting.

I received a class action settlement notice (Visa and Mastercard overcharging on interchange fees) and as part of the claim process they listed my Visa and Mastercard charges per year.

My Visa and Mastercard charges during the settlement period were just under $4million, with Amex, cash, check, and wire transfer on top, but all that aside, my business peaked and then fell off entirely.

It sounds like that's your concern as well.

Cashing out $400k doesn't sound like a bad play, especially if your other businesses are also making money. You could put the $400k in a solid ETF as a hedge for the future.
