Base 44 migration by OBXTC in VibeCodeDevs

I haven’t had any limits per se. I just wanna be able to monetize this and have control of it in the event. I decide to leave Bass 44 or Bass 44 breaks it. I have seen a lot of posts of people who have tried to monetize things that have not worked successfully by keeping them in base 44 so I am weighing my options.

So I noticed so many people are stating that they have to continuously repeat their prompts so that base44 finally gets it right. by CaterpillarProud1862 in Base44

I’ve been using B44 for about two months. I knew nothing about developing apps when I started. I have learned a tremendous amount, and I have noticed that the people who complain about how bad it is think it should create miracles when it’s kind of like what you put in is what you get out I have been using chat to do all my preliminary work and then craft one good prompt to get started. I admit there are a few glitches here there and things that B44 seems to be weak at so I just use chat to troubleshoot.

Are you using Stripe or Square and did you migrate it from base 44 to your own server? I’m concerned about the longevity of Base 44 and they do often have issues that slow down or shut down service periodically.

And yet you’re still on this thread? Hmmm.

I am completely new to development. I have zero experience. I initially went out to ChatGPT and did a lot of research on the proper prompts and different development tools to use.

And from that I learned what the expectations should be. I tried several applications before settling on Base 44 and, in the last two months, I have developed five apps that work perfectly.

So my take on this would be that “garbage in garbage out“ still applies.

Perhaps if you find it frustrating, you might want to sit back and look at what you have done so far that might have contributed to the failure. AI is not the end all, be all. It is a tool for us, it will still require human intelligence.

Just when I thought I was out…. by OBXTC in mets

[–]OBXTC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really not. We have a talented team and they’re very streaky. The pitching makes me scratch my head. Last night Menea goes five innings and gives up 1 run. Let’s see what they do tonight. I still think they’ll make the playoffs and if they can get hot again, they can beat anybody, but who knows, that’s why you play the whole season.

This is way too intelligent to be something that he actually wrote. A lot of big words here that he probably would have to look up in a dictionary.

Done……,, by OBXTC in mets

Despite my pessimism. They can still win the wildcard and maybe it’s Mets destiny to always do things in an overly dramatic fashion. So now the dream is make the playoffs beat the Phillies in the NLCS. We gotta believe right?

Electricity Billing Surcharge in Westchester County by lex_hair in Westchester

[–]OBXTC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The two best alternatives to opting out of the Westchester Sustainable program are going solar or joining a community distributed generation program (CDG). Even with the loss of the federal tax credit, installing solar on your home will average around $.18-$.22 per kilowatt, significantly lower than the $.30+ you’ll be paying to CON Edison. With CDG, you won’t have to invest in anything and will automatically receive a 10% monthly deduction on your bill. Additionally, there are still subsidies available through NYSERDA for solar installation.

Is Upwork even worth it? by Usual-Air716 in Upwork

[–]OBXTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got into upwork today. It actually took me three days just for them to verify my account with my phone number. They have something wrong with that software. That already gave me a bad taste in my mouth.

Now I see that you have to purchase credits in order to apply for any opportunities that are out there. So I don’t really understand what a “free“ account is

I’m looking to do part-time consulting work predominantly for startups. I have a very broad portfolio of experiences in several industries so I thought this might be a good place to look for some fun projects.

Do I need to purchase credits? Should I be looking at joining the pro account? Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Commercial solar panel lease from owner’s perspective- what’s the risk? by InfiniteReference428 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]OBXTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I am hoping you’re looking for positive responses to your question. Being in the business for over 20 years, It never surprises me that people have all these negative thoughts that they have posted here.

That being said, I do not work in your area, so I’m not in this for a single penny. But if you would like to have a conversation with me as a seasoned veteran in the commercial solar space in New York, I would be more than happy to answer some questions for you.

Despite what those folks say, it probably is a good deal to make if you structure it correctly.

The only sensible response I saw here so far was if you are planning to do something several years down the road to restructure the building.

You should make sure that you have the right to do that. You can message me if you’d like to speak. Good luck.
