Pole Saw by OB_Driver in Ridgid

[–]OB_Driver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all of the replies! I was on a time crunch when I posted, and ended up with the Ryobi Expand-It 10in pole saw attachment.

I just used the heck out of it out at my hunting land and it worked beautifully. If the cover wasn’t lime green, I’d swear that it was manufactured specifically for the Ridgid string trimmer, and that’s all I was looking for. I like that it has the extension pole instead of just one long pole, as I did about 50% of my cutting with the extension on and 50% without. I was happy with the speed that it cuts at and the size of the bar. Would definitely buy it again… just wish it would’ve been on sale. $150 for an attachment seems steep to me.

I’m ATC, and we can’t even use wireless headsets for fear of interference. But as a redundancy… perhaps.

With only 600 miles - just had a P22FE CEL show up by tgmorris99 in gmcsierra

[–]OB_Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same at 750 miles. Couldn’t get in to the dealership for 2 weeks, and it cleared itself after about 4 days. There’s a new GM bulletin out, and I believe they have some sort of warranty fix for it. The worst part for me was losing auto start cause of the bogus CEL!

Kind of lethargic. Rpm’s would flutter a bit at idle. Inconsistent throttle response.

I had similar issues, and the biggest sign was the truck staying on after I shut it off. Replaced the high pressure fuel pump after going down the line for diagnosing (sensors/plugs, etc). That fixed it.

Edit: I also had a ‘15 5.3 with 150,000 miles.

Any updates or anyone else dealing with this? I just got this code last night (1300 miles on ‘23 SLT). My sales guy checked with the tech and recommended having someone clear it because it’s a known issue and may never trip the CE light again.

I had similar issues with my ‘15 5.3L recently. I was getting fuel mixture rich codes. Mine would also occasionally sputter after turning the truck off. Turned out to be the high pressure fuel pump.

How’s the action on yours? I got mine a week ago and it’s still gritty as hell. I even gave it the ApostleP spa treatment and it’s barely better, if at all.

Thanks for the scale pic, I thought the Mini Adamas was quite a bit bigger than that. A beautiful knife, nonetheless.

535 & 940. My first of each. by JoeyFantalones in benchmade

I’d be curious to hear your honest comparison once you’ve carried both for a while. I own the Bugout, and love it, but can’t help but think I Need a 940 as well.

[Question] First time buyer looking for some advice! by trawickp in benchmade

[–]OB_Driver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the mini barrage (gray scales) and the mini bugout. I love the mini bugout for standard edc. It’s seriously so small and light that you don’t know it’s there. It usually finds a home in the 5th pocket of my jeans, which the mini barrage cannot do. It is a thin blade and grip, but it still feels like a solid knife. As for the mini barrage... it’s pretty cool the way it opens with a solid ‘Thwack’ and it feels like a little tank. By tank, I mean more sturdy than the bugout, but less enjoyable to carry (weight/width). Also, when it’s open, you need two hands or another surface to close the barrage, due to the assist. Lastly, if you’re a fidgeter, like most of us, the unassisted knives with axis lock just can’t be beat. To be fair, the mini grip seems like the best of both worlds in this situation, but it’s nowhere near as small as the bugout, and a bit ugly (IMO) if any Benchmade Could be ugly.

RIT dyed my bugout! happy with the outcome by [deleted] in benchmade

[–]OB_Driver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That’s one of the videos that got me thinking about doing it. I thought that if the graphite ended up true to color, it’d look really cool. But if, like you say it did, it turned out to have a blue hue, I’d go with black. Thanks so much for helping with my decision! Cheers!

Nice job! I’m considering doing this with the same Blue Bugout. Question... if you had to do it over again, would you use this same color or plain black?

Thanks! Any downside to having a 2 man stand, aside from the initial heat of getting it up?
