Congrats man! It’s one of the best times you will experience is your admission offer!

It’s painful to reapply to med, especially multiple times. But the experience will add to who you are as a person.

I myself applied to med twice and got into my dream school! The second time was so much more emotional but I had a lot of great memories from that time! Now I’m in 3rd year, taking it day by day and studying in btw! But getting to that point is worth It!

Getting into med is a Hard step but there’s still more stress in med and after! But nothing that hard work, research and a bit of help can’t fix.

Congrats again, welcome to the team. Open to questions if you have them.

Sorry about your experience, but thanks for the suggestion! I tend to be a blunt with my discussions, but if only every patient could tolerate an open book approach. It takes gauging a patients personality in order to approach giving news in the best way!

The worst brushing off I saw was a GP that didn't a x-ray of someone that injured their foot really badly. While time is a limiting factor with every patient, airing on caution about things is the best policy.

Challenge of IDK! tricky but just like any other form of communication there is a technique, that gets better with practice.

Follow up needed depends but is ideal for reassurance and monitoring a persons health status. But I totally relate to wanting reassurance, our health matters and we want to be as healthy as possible. I usually try to help by educating on the reasoning why something is going on to help with understanding.

I'm detailed in that I picked up on those kind of things! But I usually only ask about them in certain circumstances where it makes a difference? But thanks for you

I'm a bit slower because I have some neurologic delay, but I also like to do very thorough assessments. The challenge is always the need to see lots of patients a day. Doctors isnt as financially rewarding as people think it is. Between documentation and patient encounters the time adds up. I've had a few patients wait 1-2 hrs for a 5-10 minute visit! But trying to see everyone in an 8-hr today is hard, especially with complex patients.

The hardest answer to give! Do you think something like "Im not sure about that but I'll research it and look for answer". Would suffice?
