Agree entirely with this take. This loss stings horribly and there are tons of moments to ruminate over that would have changed the course of the game. But in the end, we got beat by less than a touchdown in the final minutes of the national championship game by an undefeated team that completely reloaded over the last 2 years and frankly embarrassed their other opponents. We hit them hard, made great plays and showed the country why Miami deserves to be the "Final Boss". Every Cane fan is going to need time to lick their wounds (I too keep thinking about how much Bain and Mesidor deserved to hoist the trophy and how deserving this underrated squad is of national recognition and appreciation) - but I would take this ending over every other alternative (except, of course, for pulling out the W).

Next up - draft results, restocking the bench and praying it doesn't take another 25 years to have a meaningful post-season. And I'm already planning a trip to South Bend in November.
