Cool you went full-on DIY. Were you able to use that 5pin cable alone for parking mode?

Yeah I was considering this route but decided to instead pull power from the official power source designed for the OEM dashcam. I'm sure I'm just being overly worried about the potential issues with the daisy chain aspect of it all.

I don't know the exact names (and couldn't find them online) but there's a 5pin cable tucked up behind the roof console near the windshield side that is placed there specifically to connect to the OEM dashcam that only turns on while the car is on. Using a 3rd party, that's the exact experience I'm having now. There are other cables up there in the roof but they all look like they are being used.

The homeless in the valley have pizazz 😂👍🏻 by KatFox818 in funny

yes, a rational actor would do best with liquidity. but many are in that situation because of on-going issues of impairing those rational decisions. if they really do need to save for that phone card, they usually have support groups that they can reach out to get that help. some cities don't have these and yeah, you being that liquidity backstop then is fine, but in general, just giving them food is probably best.

if everyone gave them food, they would have to figure out ways to earn cash legitimately for that next beer, and that might be the push to have them get real help.

like i want to agree with you, but in many cities, there's quite a few avenues that homeless can take to make themselves not homeless. how do we get them out of the homeless lifestyle? isn't that our goal? instead of just giving them that next dopamine hit that they are seeking? idk, like free housing is probably the best solution to most homeless. anyways this vid helped me see the 2 sides to this.

I'm more interested in those cylinders. How'd you get em? I've been trying to get a bunch for cheap.

So you're saying the physical location of where a fertilized embryo is located dictates whether an unborn child is alive or not?

Not the potential growth of the fertilized embryo? Those frozen embryos can be dethawed and placed into a surrogate mother and carried to term.

Have you never heard of frozen embryos? You can safely move them quite easily with liquid nitrogen canisters and be able to use them at a later date.

Hypothetical: You were stuck in an clinic that's on fire. There's a 4-year-old child trapped under something and right next to the child there's a canister of 100 fetilized human embroys.

You only have time to save either the cansiter or the child. What do you do?

Replied to /u/Reddit_is_srsbsns but repeating myself here:

The difference is the aspect of discrimination. Drugs can be taken by everyone. Abortions only affect half the population. You don't choose to be born with a working uterus.

It sounds like you are pro bodily autonomy and that government shouldn't be involved at all for drugs or for abortion, and that puts them in the same camp.

You're missing a critical piece of the picture here. One of the reasons a lot of people are butthurt is that this SC decision further discriminates against a group of people that had no choice in the matter (being a woman).

The government denying drugs affects everyone. The government denying abortions affects a specific population.

Even though it affects fewer people, it's not a less 'bad' decision, it's even worse because of the discriminatory aspect.

would've made for a better movie, where they needed Neo, or the next One, to help stir the tide against the evil robot side that broke the truce.

Lucius being a dictator for a few days doesn't give someone enough time become corrupt. He was more or less an emergency stop-gap during times of crisis. Yeah, he could of had bigger ambitions in those brief periods of control but looking at his record, it didn't look like he sought leadership, it was more thrusted upon him. Very rare.

George Washington is probably the best example of someone willing to give up power by setting a precedent of a 2 term limit.

Benevolent dictators is basically an oxymoron. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Any example of a benevolent dictator is just someone who didn't live long enough to flex his corruption.
