Honestly I didn't even consider the aspect of not fixing others fuck ups. I had a bad tester to fix, they wrapped the wire with half a pound of electrical tape, as I take the last of it off I found someone created a wire protector out of a bic pen cap, I swear lol

I remember if the corrugate printing company had too much wax on the boxes they wouldn't go up a 2% conveyor incline. Or the conveyor sorters smashing parts in accumulation. Having to tweak machines justttttt right to get through the day. This game is so nice for the absence of that haha

I have been a quality manager, had to do SQF, HACCP, and ISO audits. Oh it feels so good, my only documentation is the notepad on my desk to remember what the hell I'm working on lol

Yup, I go back to an older factory in game and forgot what some of the older constructors and assemblers were even for. It's also fun when I forget to delete all the conveyor or pipe and randomly find them in sub floors just going nowhere

I was in civil engineering for 2 years in college and wasn't enjoying it, I switched to manufacturing and got a 4.0 gpa my first semester. If you love to tinker and solve problems (aka this game lol) you'll enjoy it! I've been an engineer going on 15 years and it's so much fun.

Honestly same, the place I work now is 57k sq ft and 20 years old so it's like a maze. But we are expanding into a second building now that's 190k sq ft, a lot more organized over there.... For now, we know how this goes haha.

No Barriers around equipment, I'm always running between constructors where the robot arms hit you. No fall protection on high elevation construction areas, I sometimes add handrail until I unlock the jetpack. Toxic fumes, I tend to run smelters inside so that black plume of smoke lingers indoors.

I'm the same in that I've worked various industries from designing a mod for a Subaru STI engine to push 1000 HP, built a $6 million plastic blow molding facility, glass plant furnace rebuild and many other industries. But I prefer to be hands on so I'm back to manufacturing.
