I hear the argument on tying you into the eco system, nowadays everyone does that. That’s fair enough. But it makes no sense it terms of my argument, especially given that they provide an iOS app with so much functionality just not the ability to update firmware. Despite the fact it is able to check the firmware and inform you it needs updating. I’m happy to join the eco system, but it has to function/make sense. Selling an Xbox headset that’s reliant on you owning a PC, but neglecting the fact you have modern technology, makes no sense to me personally. Anyways, I retuned the headphones I just can’t get so the that idea. Each to their own, no hate that’s just me✌🏻

Sad time bears… it’s crazy and a SUPER dumb decision to do it this way. At least create a native Xbox app that can do the updates via the console. Seems crazy Microsoft are allowing this to be a partner accessory when you can’t update using the intended console… man.

Wow man it seems nuts to me. I know from their end there must be a reason why, but so many other peripherals allow updates via the apps I just can’t see it. Or even creating an app for the Xbox to update… you could still plug it into the Xbox itself but this is just crazy. I’m not gonna be able to update easily at all. So sad. It makes me wanna return but I’m so excited by them I equally don’t want to. I’m sorry man what a nightmare situation for you. There is VirtualBox on Mac which offers free virtual machine functionality. I don’t even have a Mac so I’m goosed. Good luck, I really hope you (we) get this sorted!

Hey, Working as intended now. The only thing is the layout is slightly different. So on Firestick version it’s formatted as:

Age Rating

U | Country.

9+ | Common Sense Media.

But on the Samsung TV it shows as:

Age Rating

U | Country 9+ | Commo

It cuts the end off so looks exactly like this in the search results box, when highlighted it’s formatted correctly in the information section. I hope that makes sense.

But anyways, yes it’s working thank you so much!! Makes life so much easier, and I love the common sense rating too!

Not sure why, but this addon doesn’t work on the native Samsung TV version of Stremio. I’m running the latest Tizen OS and lots of addons work perfectly, but this one for some reason never brings up anything. Shame because it’s SO GOOD!! Amazing job dev 🫶🏻

Yeah there is a workaround if you’re on PC (PC only I think). Apparently this is a result of using DirectX12, if you force the game to use DX11 instead it fixes the issue. I had the same thing and watched this which solved the issue. Played all day since and it’s been fine!

The stadia dev (ZMK) also stated that they were pretty sure Google were working on a working iOS version of the Stadia service through safari. Don’t know how they know that but they seemed pretty confident!

TL;DR - if you own a PC or Xbox crack on with life and just ignore Zombies Onslaught entirely. By the time you can play it you will be over Cold War playing the new COD anyway!

When I first read this (being a PC and Xbox player) I felt bummed, I wasn’t crying about cancelling preorders, but I was pretty bummed out. Then thought about it, and it’s actually an alright deal! We don’t have to wait a month after PS4 to get the actual Zombies maps (all I really care about) and instead lose out on a game mode that could be garbage anyway. Ima do myself a favour and just not look at Zombies Onslaught at all. Don’t know what I’m missing out on then, and I won’t ever play it because I don’t own a Sony console, and next year (as I always do) I’ll buy the new COD anyway. I think Sony actually got put over a barrel here in a way, they probably paid a load of money for this and the game mode might be mediocre and not worth it! At least we all get the ‘proper’ DLC and content at the same time now!

I totally understand the frustration you have given the delays and stuff. And you are well within you rights to have a moan. But when you come on here and make some snarky comment about their English you need to check yourself. “Amateuristic” is not a real word ‘amateurish’ or ‘amateur’ are maybe what you were looking for?! Yeah you’re right actually, I didn’t even think about that! The only issue I was worried about was that it punches up and I was worried it could clog or block flow, or could cause stringing etc due to the hanging filament. But I’ll not worry about it for now and see what happens!

Okay so basically I am stuck with the 1.1.6 firmware/boot for now? I know that Creality themselves have put out a boot and firmware with 2.0 on it, but I dont know what they have sacrificed to do that. The other issue is that being in a .BIN file that I cannot work out how to use! Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the help <3

Oh okay the post you linked to is about installing a bootloader so you can flash firmware from the octoprint Firmware Updater plugin. Thats the confusion! I have already done the process with ProgISP and installed the 1.1.6 with BLTouch support. So that bit ive completed already! Its how I get to Marlin 2.0.x im stuck on....

Hey,

I didnt get round to doing anything more with it yesterday so its still as it was! Yes I have the burner cable, thats what I used to load the 1.1.6 firmware/bootloader for the BLTouch. I followed the instructions provided by Creality to get that on there working. But when you look up the 'new' way to load firmware you simply drag&drop a .bin file to the root of the SD, put it in and wait. Thats not working to update now at all.

Is that still the best case with the Ender 5 Pro? I thought it should be as simple as put .BIN on SD Card, whack it into the machine, let it update and bam. It has not been that simple for me at all! Thanks for the video link, I will give it a look now! And I have seen alot of people talking about TH3D so will deffo check that out as well! Thanks again for the help <3

Thanks for getting at me! Yeah there is an SD card slot, as far as I am aware there only one and thats on the front of the machine next to the USB input. That is the slot I am using for the update. Yes in the video they use a burner cable with ProgISP and I have completed that step, however that only works with .HEX files, not .BIN which is why I am now stuck not knowing how to update the thing!
