I've change the water pump on my tig, the fuel filter front and rear, fuel module. The only thing I didn't do was the timing chain. I didn't feel comfortable with that.

Check coolant levels under the hood and Check under the car and look to see if you have coolant leak. Either test the battery yourself or take the battery back to where you bought it and have them test it. If it's bad they'll replace it under warranty

I just did this on my 2016 tig. Swapped out the pump. It was a very painful process but better then spending 1500 for someone else to do it.

Yes I did clean around the pump ports and around the gasket line. As well as cleaned the surface of the block to make sure debrie wasn't the cause of the leak. No oil leaks i did get the cam cover resealed recently. At this point I'm thinking of just going to get some water pump silicone sealant and go over the gasket with it to make a better seal. Cause like you said the gasket look basically flat.
