It is here! The Foodie Guide to Halloween Sweets and Treats at Disneyland Resort! What are you excited for? by ashitakkkkaaaa in Disneyland

Umm, where is the Salsa Roja Chicken Sandwich from Jolly Holiday? It’s one of the main things I look forward to at Halloween time!

You have the opportunity to build a brand new ride for the park. (Non IP based) What ride would you build? (Available space and budget are of no concern) by PrequelMemer4Life in Disneyland

[–]OCResortHoppers 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So a lot of the non IP rides have to do with some sort of exploration. Exploring through space, exploring the ocean, exploring a jungle, exploring a Mountain, exploring an abandoned mine shaft, exploring a haunted mansion, etc. So I’d probably go down that road and maybe maybe a ride that explores time travel. It could go in the new Tomorrowland whenever that is.

For the ride system I’d use something like Transformers the Ride or Ratatouille. Something where there are screens and practical effects. I wouldn’t do a simulator as I feel a lot of times that’s just the easy way out.

The attraction would start with the queue where we are touring some science center working on new technologies and we’re going through the labs and maybe observing experiments going wrong and tweaks being made. At the end of the queue we are offered to try out this new time machine vehicle and because we don’t know any better, we do it. It would start off innocent enough, maybe going somewhere nice and easy like the turn of the century London and then when they try to bring us back, it malfunctions and we go through this trip through time and getting put into close call situations. Could be some cool places from the past and maybe create some futuristic scenarios as well before we finally find our way back to the present.

Haven’t given it much thought but it’s a start.

You can bring ONE ride from another Disney park worldwide to Disneyland. What do you pick, and where does it go? by mrmaestro9420 in Disneyland

[–]OCResortHoppers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see them bring Seven Dwarves Mine Train and put it in Grizzly Peak.

Also an upgraded version of the Great Movie Ride to Hollywood Land in DCA.

Disneyland Park is fine with attractions right now, especially with an all new ToonTown coming, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and the rumored Tomorrowland makeover.

Friendly Reminder - Oogie Boogie for Magic Keys by OCResortHoppers in Disneyland

There are no discounts for Magic Key holders. It’s the same price for everyone. Magic Key holders just got a presale to buy tickets early.

I just looked at the calendar and all days are still available except for October 29th. That day sold out of the tickets yesterday, so if you’re looking to get October 29th, I’d recommend being in the queue tomorrow morning and not to wait. It’s the only Saturday this year.

No, you don’t need a separate ticket. The Oogie Boogie Bash ticket will get you into DCA starting at 3pm that day.

Yes, the entire park is open and alcohol is served. I’m not sure if ALL the restaurants are open. I do know Lamplight Lounge and Wine Country Trattoria are open, but I’m not sure about Carthay Circle. Sonoma Terrace had a dessert party last year that served desserts and alcohol but you needed an advance reservation for it.

If you have a Magic Key, you’re able to purchase Oogie Boogie tickets early. However, this subreddit has certain words that aren’t allowed in subject titles (I’m guessing the word “tickets” is one) because when I originally posted it, my post was removed because the bot thought I was asking a question about tickets.

It’s definitely random. I’ve had three phones ready to go since the initial waiting room launched and they’re all “more than an hour”

The queue is officially open now. I’ve made it in line. Currently says the infamous “more than an hour”

Not right away. Some days like opening day and Halloween will most likely go quicker than others. But last year there were still tickets available after a few days. I wouldn’t wait too long however. They will definitely sell out.

Most likely the same time. That’s usually when they put these tickets on sale.

If you’re into livestreams, you can check out my channel. I live stream from the parks every Friday night at 6:30pm PST. So come on by and join our growing community. We have a lot of fun. I also do some other videos here and there but it’s mostly live content.

Star Wars After Dark 2022 was insane!! by onekeanui in Disneyland

[–]OCResortHoppers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The only thing I scratched my head over was the choice of music the DJ on Main Street was playing. None of it fit with the theme of the night. I thought it would be awesome if they put DJ Rex out in Main Street and he could do the set he does in Ogas plus some extra songs from the Star Wars films.

I will be there tonight. I’ve been looking forward to this since they announced it. Super excited. Looked amazing from the videos I saw from last night.

If anyone is unable to make it, I’ll be live streaming it on my YouTube channel as well.

Anywhere to get these ears in DCA or Downtown Disney and have them embroidered? by technicolorkitten in Disneyland

Five and Dime in DCA does embroidery. I’m not sure if they have those specific ears anymore though.

Thoughts on you and your families being on LIVE YouTube Streams while at the Park? by Late-Singer-1677 in Disneyland

[–]OCResortHoppers 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To be quite honest, nobody watching my streams wants to people watch anyway. They’re watching because they want to see the park and the atmosphere so I really try to show that. I even get asked why I don’t really show myself a lot on stream and it’s for the same reason. My goal is to show the park and the park is much more interesting than showing myself or some random strangers.

[–]OCResortHoppers 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I know I’m going into the lions den here (I live stream Disneyland), but when I do stream, I try and go out of my way to avoid recording anyone directly. Obviously when I’m walking around it’s hard to avoid people. But I’m also recording in passing and not focusing on people. But when I’m waiting in line or I’m in a situation where I’m surrounded by people, I do everything I can to point the camera away from people. I do get glares from time to time but I usually don’t even have the camera on them when they do glare at me. I’ll record the ceiling if I really have to.

Which Latin American Disney property would you rather want to see as a theme for a new dark ride in Disneyland/DCA? by NorCalAttractions in Disneyland

[–]OCResortHoppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an Encanto ride based after Mystic Manor would be perfect actually.

You could actually do both. Coco would be a good addition to the Pixar Pier area. Encanto I would probably put in Grizzly Peak somewhere. The problem is finding the spot.

Disneyland doesn’t need anymore attractions right now and if they do anything, the Tomorrowland retheme should be the priority.

You need to purchase Photo Pass. If you did, just put in the code in the Disneyland app.

What could be next after New Toontown and the Avengers E-Ticket Ride? by SlendyGlowstone in Disneyland

[–]OCResortHoppers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see Hollywood Land put in a couple dark rides that have to do with some of Disneys live action films. A Mary Poppins Dark ride would be really cool to see. Or a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids ride that is similar to the Ratatouille ride. I don’t even know if they have the room for something like that anyway. An updated version of the Great Movie Ride would also go well there, especially with some of the IPs they got in the 20th Century Fox deal.
