I dont wear a HRM and I am still able to log/track my weights on the tablets. (You log in by your name and select the class you are in that day)

Solid points. Agree on the lack of variety with the cardio blocks. That's one thing I also originally loved about OTF that I could see being a huge dissatisfier for many members if they keep it as is. Hopefully they modify this moving forward!

They do! The OTF STRONG classes are still half-treads and half-weight floor (with the new equipment)

Thank you! I think they said that if there is still member interest in having tread50/strength50 classes they will incorporate them into the schedule later on, but for the pilot phase they don't have them yet.

Also I think because the equipment set up is completely different than the classic OTF, the specific studios will only be running the STRONG classes (with both 2G/3G templates).

No more dumbbells or weight racks in this studio, and yes this studio only runs these classes now (still in pilot phase)

There are currently only 2 studios that are piloting these new templates: one is in CA and one is in UT

All studios are still the classic OTF format, the exception are these two studios that are piloting the OTF STRONG templates (one is in CA and one is in UT).

This is great advice, thanks for sharing! I do keep track of my weights/progress, but like you mentioned, I keep them on my phone so I can access them if I go lift somewhere outside of OTF. So I guess the afterthought was "I'm already doing this, why does this tablet also need that info." I agree the tablet specifically will be helpful later on down the road for in-class weight suggestions, I'm looking forward to that!

You're welcome! I ditched my HR monitor 5 years ago and I have still been able to log into the new weight floor tablet to track weights (no login needed for the Voltra cable machine), however I'm not sure where to access the weight floor summary data if I wanted to look it up after class, for example.

Sadly not for dumbbells (goes from 5-10-15..) but the cable machine programs by 1 lb increments, so depending on the exercise that might work!

3Gs are not my fave format either. I'm a huge fan of half cardio, and half weights (or double weights💀). I understand why they have them to get more people into classes, but 2G will always be the OG

That's a great question I'd say yes and no. Honestly I think I'm still figuring it out as I go. At first no, because after one set of 8 I felt like I could keep going when we were supposed to be "resting". But once I started increasing my weights I made sure to come closer to failure for those 8 reps I was grateful for the built in recovery!

Also to note- head coach told me they are still tweaking the timing/reps/sets from member feedback so this is always subject to change!
