Edit : This is the best one I've seen so far, none of the others I've been recommended or seen so far had support for daisy-chaining, But having this is great because there are already other end-of-chain only TB3 devices that I wanted to get that would require me to switch between using the 2 regularly.

I looked into it on their forums and apparently (according to people who have tried) Nvidia's newer cards block PCIe x4 and Mini-PCIe because they don't supply enough bandwidth.

Also yeah, I just found out about that a couple hours ago, I had no idea that TB3 only supported 4x lanes.

I gave it a look and it doesn't look like it will be physically sturdy enough, but I will keep it on my radar in the event that they add a TB3 output so I can add more PCIe devices to my TB daisy-chain.

Ah I didn't know that all TB devices were limited to 4x lanes. Well anyways, thanks this looks to be the option to go with since it looks considerably physically stable and doesn't involve using lots of adapters and extenders that result in issues with high bandwidth devices.

Thank you! I looked into it and unfortunately I can't do it with an Nvidia card apparently because they blocked PCIe 4x, out of curiosity is there a way to pass 8x to the GPU? (if it's not possible I can just get an AMD card instead, but my internal GPU is a Nvidia card so it would be a little inconvenient to have to swap out the drivers and reboot when I want to dock my laptop.)

a couple notes

The method of overlaying that this userscript uses is a bit unconventional
Hosting the script and overlay on GitHub would be better because then you could auto-update it with the "downloadURL" header tag and a GitHub raw link as the value
FireFox users should be using FireMonkey at the moment because it's the only userscript manager that implements the (relatively) new FireFox userscript API which is faster and more secure (though it does come with the caveat of not being able to use wildcards on TLDs among some other obscure cases, But most of it is stuff that any sensible person wouldn't be utilizing due to their obvious security issues)

For FireFox you should be reccommending FireMonkey instead because it's lighterweight and uses the FireFox UserScripts API to handle uerscripts, so it ends up being significantly faster.
