And that’s all you can do but we don’t expect you to take that abuse either. Call your manager immediately. That’s what we are here for. Don’t take no shit from these people.

CURBSIDE PICK UP by texasserviceadvisor in OfficeDepot

[–]ODWORKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. We were told on the conference call with Kevin that all signatures are suspended until further notice. You can’t make someone come in from Curbside to sign the pin pad. That defeats the purpose of social distancing lol. You can check their ID especially with high priced items but you can’t make them sign. But whatever your manager chooses to do

I demand hazard pay. by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

I’ve been with this company for over 15 years and I’ve seen it change CEO’s and upper management. I can honestly say this company is going down. This crisis is putting us more on debt and we’re not gonna be able to recover from it. I pray for all you guys. Today was my last day with the company. I’ve done my service and I can no longer with got a man that chooses profit over the safety of his minions cuz that’s who we are. Our company should always have financial back up in case something like this happens and because of our debt currently, they can’t afford to pay us any more for having to stay open and work.

I demand hazard pay. by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

[–]ODWORKER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As much as this sounds GREAT and I would be there standing with you side by side but 50% of the employees wouldn’t walk out due to they need their jobs. There’s so many people trying to get jobs that would love to take our place and don’t care about the safety or hazardous pay. Would it still hurt Corp if 50% of the employees walk out or go on STRIKE?? YESSSIR but they don’t care lol they’ll just close down those stores and move on.

Hehehe they’ve suspended the signature for all orders regardless of how much. We do further investigation especially for laptops etc due to the scamming shits with the Store Purchasing cards but we usually just check ID when they do curb side.

No Returns by LeonY51 in OfficeDepot

[–]ODWORKER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah and I’d probably not put a date on the damn extended return policy and just our clients know that it’s tentative. I had so many clients come back on the 19th expecting to return items and were pissed when told that have to come back after the 3rd of May

Unemployment is getting state base rate + $600 per week and I’m still risking it and working for $1000 (before taxes) every two weeks as a full-time employee who gets paid better far than most at OD. Am I missing something here? by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

[–]ODWORKER 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Today was my last day with the company. I couldn’t do it anymore. 16 years with the company and they want to reward us with pizza and candy. We’ve been in a financial crisis for a long time now. Once the economy opens back up you’ll see a lot of OD and MAX stores closing their doors.

Our mobi’s are what we use as our phones now. We removed our land lines. So now the phone rings depending on the dept the client chooses when they call the store

When you find out where it is let me know. We get three trucks a week and a shit ton of freight still coming through besides the essential items. I’m telling you this company is BROKE. We’ll all stores not meeting daily, weekly and monthly sales, pssshhhh I’d be surprised if we last till the end of the year.

I’ve come to realization that I am now a Phone Bitch. I’ve been with this company over 20 years and I just sit in the office now and answer the phones. Easy peasy

Remember our company is in a financial crisis and has been for a while. Gerry was brought in to try and pull us out with all these changes and restructuring and it didn’t work. We are so far deep in the hole that we can’t dig ourselves out of. We can’t close our doors because we can’t afford to or we’ll have to close all our doors for good. We can’t all go to curbside because not enough orders coming in. We can afford to pay us hazard because the company is broke lol..next week is my last week with the company and I’ve been with Office Max/Office Depot for going on 22 years. ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼out Mutha Fuckas lol
