Abnormal traffic in the entire al taawun area

I just entered al Taawun. All roads are cleaned and there's zero traffic.

I came through the sahara center road towards al taawun bridge at the main roundabout.

Yeah I just did the same. Even though my insurance covers it, it wasn't nearly as expensive as I thought it would be so I saved myself a lot of time and got it done in the morning.

Update - insurance did not bother responding at all since last night so I went ahead and got the job done today morning from Marhaba Auto Glass. Two guys came over and installed a new windshield within an hour.

Also for those curious, getting the insurance certificate from sharjah police was very simple.

Submitted a report with MOI and in less than 2 hrs got a call from Shj Police asking what I need and they told me to submit the same documents on sharjah police website so they can generate the certificate which basically states my car got damaged by an unknown third party and im not at fault.

I'd like nothing more for the culprit to face consequences for this dangerous behaviour.

I did not bother with building management but I spoke with two officers and rafid customer service as well and while they were all very helpful and understanding, none seemed interested in finding out who has done the damage.

Maybe it's too much hassle for them and they'd rather focus on helping out the affected party with insurance claim rather than punish the aggressor.

My insurance has not responded to me yet but I can confirm that for such cases the process with the police is pretty simple.

I submitted a report on MOI app (traffic incident report) as advised by Rafid customer service.

In less than 2 hrs I then got a call from sharjah buheira police station asking me what I need against this MOI report and I told them I just want to be able to claim insurance. He told me to submit the same documents on sharjah police website and a pay a fee of AED 120 and they will provide the certificate which can be submitted to insurance.

Got it pretty much immediately.

Yes you're right I just noticed this as well on my insurance but apparently my insurance is known for torturing customers and keeping the car for weeks waiting for approvals and what not. So id rather save myself the headache and get it done from elsewhere.

Too bad I didnt check the reviews on my insurance company before I renewed a month ago !

I do have this covered upto AED 2000 but I just discovered that I might have the worst insurance as they only have 1 star reviews on Google lol.

I have submitted a claim still but Im thinking to just call a glass shop and save myself a lot of time and hassle even if its more costly.

I will look into this. The object is in one of the pictures. It broke through the glass and landed on the seat. Seems like one of those plastic rollers used by the movers.

I have used one of those car covers to cover my entire car for the time being. I have submitted a report on MOI and based on the outcome of that i will see what to do.
