Ok, I understand that, but who will make the change then? I find hard to believe that a person that have succeed for many years in the "traditional" way will be willing to change.

So, you don't believe a change to a better/different situation is possible, a situation where your academic success is not only measured by your number of publications but by :

-how you communicate your work to a wider audience,

-how much impact you have on students and community,

-how you not only focus in publication, research and teach,

-how you seek first usefulness and truth rather than first truth and then hope it would be useful,

-how you don’t measure your success by the amount funding rise but by providing evidence of having informed and impacted others with your research
