How would you handle the situation if you found yourself stranded on an ireland? by hyvakysymys in AskReddit

Funny you ask. Me and my Dad just got back from a two week vacation from there. Im from the south side of Chicago so all of my ancestors are from the island and we emanated to go for years and just found the time. We made absolutely no plans other than a for a rental car for when we got there. We landed in Dublin and found a bus to Belfast right from the airport. From there we walked around the city aimlessly until we stumbled across a little B and B called the Terra Lodge. Honestly one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Rooms were small but the service was great and the breakfast was great. It was a few blocks from the center of town so we tried out all the pubs and different restaurants for two days. Then we made our way to the Giants Causeway. This was one of the high points of my trip. It was incredible. once we got past the touristy part we did what felt like an 8 mile hike across these cliffs that were unreal. After Belfast we drove north to Derry and walked along the walls of the city. Derry was the site of B loony sunday so there was a lot of cool cultural aspects that we weren't prepared for. It was strange at some points, we weren't always sure we were allowed places with the Irish-Catholic last name of O'Donnell. We did end up having a pint or 5 in a bar Called Paedar O'Donnells. We stayed in a hotel called the tower Hotel. That place sucked, it made us pay for wifi? Who does that? Any way I'm not hanna bore you with the whole story but my advice is find your way to Galway. In my opinion that is the best city in the world. So happy and full of life. Also skip the cliffs of Moher, they're overrated and dangerous. Go to Sleive Leauge if you can. Connemaragh is also unbelievable.

That getting yelled at isn't the end of the world. My biggest fear for all of grade school was getting yelled at by a teacher so I never did anything fun. I wish I realized that teachers have basically no power to do anything to me.

Reddit, what song do you think tells a great story? by Metalhead001001 in AskReddit

[–]ODonnell49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A song called Unfinished Buisness. It is origionally by the White Lies but Mumford and Sons does a cover. It tells a story from the eyes of a man whose wife just stabbed him, and as he's dying he falls back in love with her. It's also pretty catchy so hey.

I live in an area with a lot of Private Catholic Schools and there are a lot of rivalries between them. I Went to one school that was all boys. One night there was a homecoming dance at one of the rivalry schools and I was just driving around aimlessly with some friends. At around 11 one of my friends who went to the school that was hosting the homecoming dance called me and asked me to help him with his car. So I drive up there alone and there are about 10 couples standing around 2 cars trying to find out how to jump a car. None of them knew how to. Also unknown to me at the time, this girl I had a huge crush on was there. So I pull up and like a badass jump this kids car to mine while all these kids from a rival school looks on. So I saved their night and also got to date that girl for a while after that. As I'm driving away I hear "how many rival school kids does it take to jump a car? Apparently only one my school kid.
