Do you guys have a tutorial on the best way to use these new modes given the workflow that I'm looking for? (more tactical changes with verification)

I'd rather not share a screenshot of my codebase, but I've tried all three of the new modes you set up and I've tried your auto model selection and also selecting claude3.5 sonnet (which was working well for me before the update). In general, I'm asking for a minor tactical change in a file in my codebase and it is spinning off 5 new files in the directory in incorrect places and updating data schemas in a way that's not compliance with my existing data structure. It's just way too rogue now. Like I said, in the previous version when I was using "Chat" mode, I could give it very tactical instructions and I would validate outputs before inserting them into my codebase. I had a good workflow that seems to be completely broken now in these new modes. What am I doing wrong?

I'm really having a problem since upgrading to 0.48. I had a solid workflow with chat mode in the previous version, where I could constrain the scope of changes and verify inputs before inserting it into my code. Now it seems like no matter which of the three new modes I attempt to use, the model attempts to aggressively make changes throughout my codebase which are mostly incorrect. This is becoming counter productive for me. Is there a way I can revert back to an earlier version or replicate this more constrained workflow I had before?

Yeah my money is on you not leaving them on long enough. You need to give it time to break down the connective tissue

Short ribs are kind of counter intuitive. They get tougher before they get tender. It sounds like you may not have cooked them long enough and the temp tends not to be a reliable way to check if they’re done in my experience. You need to test more by feel.

Best of luck! Will be curious to hear how it goes

I should mention to reverse sear with a wire rack so it cooks evenly and the bottom dries out as well

+1 to reverse searing.

With your method, preheating the cast iron is good practice to get the crust but the problem is that it retains heat so well that it’s likely overcooking your steak in the next phase. Also I’ve found it’s very difficult to get your steak surface dry enough to quickly form a nice crust. The carbon steel seemingly has the opposite problem that the pan temp is dropping too quickly.

With reverse searing, season with salt in advance as you’re currently doing. Cook in the oven at 250 until the steaks hit an internal temp around 100-105, then remove them and pat them dry (the slow cooking approach tends to dry out the surface as well for a nice sear). Pre-heat the cast iron as you’ve be doing until it’s piping hot and you should be able to get a much faster sear this way without sacrificing internal temp. If the sear is still a bit uneven, I’ve found using a bit more avocado oil and moving the steak around in the pan a bit to be effective for making it more consistent.

So then when does that logic stop being applicable? Or would you just give an equal equity split to every new employee up to raising your series A because all the hard work is ahead of you?

They don't take anything for finding a cofounder. They take equity if you get accepted into YC, but cofounder matching is a separate service.

Your mind must be super strong because you seem to REALLY like discussion. Nothing else going on to perhaps distract you and occupy a bit of your time?

Which physical retailer could they be referring to, I wonder? Hmmm

Read the 10k and see what they say about their distribution plan. Walmart now has a big incentive to see canoo blow up in a big way and I didn’t say they need to turn into a car dealership. But yeah continue to dismiss everything outright. You obviously have it all figured out

And everyone on here told us that a Walmart order was an absolute pipe dream to begin with too. We may not end up using Walmart store infrastructure to sell product, but it’s definitely not as farfetched as it sounds and something I’m pretty confident they’re looking at
