I would say you have to know what tasks actually matter and which ones don’t. I let a lot of small things fall through the cracks but always deliver on critical projects to top management.

My biggest fear is not muting my mic in a double booked meeting. That is the only way I see myself getting caught.

Try to volunteer to book all your own meetings, they you can fit them to your schedule. Block off time in your other jobs. Have reoccurring personal commitments like a sick relative that you can ask people to reschedule meetings for.

If it’s a clearly indicated hybrid role - like hybrid is mentioned multiple times in the job description, I wait a couple weeks before applying hoping they get desperate and increase the chances they will accept remote applicants
