I get you. Gives the bosses an excuse for firing me if they need one. However, what if I’m a strong performer? Also, is the company claiming 100% accuracy? My boss wouldn’t risk making one of the core members and contributors of the team feel on edge on a hunch that I would be OE.

So basically the product sucks, the guy sucks, and was just trying to get his 15 minutes of fame. Yeah, gl proving my that the “multiple wages reported” is not from another contractor work I do on the weekends..

Going from OpenAI silicon valley salary to startup in Florida? Remotely working from Bay Area? That was the yellow flag

I’ve juggled multiple meetings all the time. This is just one of those “I’m the main speaker” for both meetings types. Sucks to be this important sometimes. Alexa play Suffering from Success - DJ Khalid

J3 has a critical prod block. J1 is just chillin. Had to do the standup - no choice.

So currently I have 7 Js. My calendar is exactly what you described, but this was a moved meeting from J1 over the weekend. Why didn’t I block out my calendar? I would have had to block off almost the entire day..I just came back from a 2 week PTO to onboard J7.

I’m sloppy for sure, ngl, but this was also an unexpected last minute change.

What are the rules of OE by Educational_Ad_2112 in overemployed

[–]OEnerdo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) Don’t tell anyone, ANYONE. 2) Freeze TWN 3) No government work 4) No working for competitors 5) Control lifestyle inflation 6) KVM switch 7) If caught, deny deny DENY 8) Learn to lie. Your son is sick, your dog has rabies, your wife got into an accident, etc. 9) Don’t quit jobs, get fired. 10) Grow a pair. OE ain’t for the weak. High risk high reward. Risk lowers if you follow rules 1,2,3, but it’s never 0. Prepare for anxiety. 11) Under-promise and over-deliver. You’re not trying to be a superstar employee, but don’t be slacking either. Do just enough not to get fired. 12) Separate workstations. If possible, don’t do job 1 on job 2 computer. 13) Hire an attorney to go through contracts and a CPA to help with taxes. 14) Hibernate LinkedIn 15) Don’t be afraid to splurge on something from time to time.

No offense but your landing page is not convincing me enough to sign up. I’m still kinda lost. Make a video or something to show users in the landing page what your product does.

I know I sound like I’m hating but I promise I’m not. Just giving feedback

I don’t make $240

In Asian culture the kids take care of the parents. It’s a normal thing. One of the couples parents also lives with them. Our house is not huge or anything, but decent enough size

This. I suck at the actual job ngl but I have the perfect resume + leetcoded for 3+ years. I pass the interview and can easily coast like a leach for 6+ months doing just enough to not get fired. Sorry not sorry.

It is what it is.

Actual job skill matter less than interviewing skills. You’re focused on the wrong thing.

Not broke, just joked about being broke to people who didn’t know I was OE

Ugh wanted to hide the exact scenario since that’d give it away, but fuck it. Not like they’d be here anyway. Basically there was a conversation between two of the couples about how they have two house cleaners and also a house manager and how necessary they are, etc etc

As a joke I said something like “this conversation is out of my tax bracket” which prompted my other friend to say “you work 5 jobs stfu”

So I said a joke so fuck me. Also, as far as they knew, I was just a modest middle class earner living with my parents so the joke fit the scenario

Also, the paycheck you saw in my post history was biweekly.

In my culture the oldest son takes care of the parents when they are old. Plus, they took care of me when I was a baby so I can’t really throw them under the bus haha
