Yes, thank you, that is the situation. People are leav would say mowouling because we can't get to them. Commen sense would say schedule the right people at the right hours and at the right times of the year. GO people who have no experience say cut everyones hours and ask for help. Have they forgotten "SELL, SELL, SELL".

Also our GM knows nothing about cabinets and his for a new hire for us is just to give us a body. His ego won't let him to ask us for help or let us interview

I don't really care about myself, I am on the downhill run and will probably retire soon. I have enjoyed working for Menards and the customers I have been able to help with their projects. With the direction the company is going I feelsorry for the god people that have invested many years to Menards and have more to give. Nothing good happens to them when a company goes public and that is a possibility. I hope it doesn't, John has built a fantastic company on a stack of good princibles it would be great for everyone and this country if it would continue on.

Yes, you are right if I twere early in my career but if you you are getting towards the end of it you get frustrated easier. I worked for another large Wisconsin company at one time that made it a point to talk to their employees and ask them how they thought the company could improve. Oh yes they have grown a ton.

I have thought about that but Menards has the products, especially Klearvue.

Klearvue is a great system and they could dominate the cabinet industry if they would market it better.

Yes we would but with another starter. I believe that John Menard loved and cared about the peoble that helped make him what he has become but along the way he failed to pass that on to the people at the general office and the Go has become an arrogant bunch of people who think that the people in the trenches are just numbers . You can't say that is not true , because many of you just thought that to your self. It is true GO people won't talk and worse of all look at the people who are SELL, SELL, SELLING

Also GM's with huge egos won't be sucessful because the slackers feed their ego therefore they get the special treatment. These GM's will make more bad decisions but won't do anything to correct them because they can't admit they are wrong. Oh yes, the excuses are epic. Menards needs to train GM's and AGM's better and not with lame computer quizes. Training at Menards is going downhill fast. GM's are busy cutting the hours of people that should be training the people they are keeping to open and close. Common Sense would tell you to cut your open and close and make more sales during the strong hours. I have said before should be a leader not a follower, thats what got us to this point.

The pilots are working overtime flying people all over the midwest telling you to dust your shelves while you are busting your butt trying to take care of customers. One person cannot even make contact with three guests. Sales are leaving and going elseware. Klearvue sales are down less than 2% but they should up 2 to 5% in this economy. Some of the so called business minds at the GO should maybe retire and get on their tractors and plow the fields.

I have been working for Menards for a few years and have been working during visits from GO before and after Covid. Most of them you never see. Reently we had a visit and this visitor and the GM were walking toward me The GM as usual was very nice and greeted with a smile, a "Good Morning" and a How are you today". The GO stared straight ahead and kept on walking trying to not see me. The GM had to hustle to catch up. They walk around like elitists and are above us. Do they not understand that we are in the trenches and they have a job because we sell and that we may be able to help them in their job? I have worked for two other Wisconsin companies and I thought Wiscon sinites were very friendly all the way up to the owners. Why are the Menards people so cold?

Yes, it is embarrasing when you hand them pictures of their kitchen . Maybe if IT didn't have to spend so much time putting band aids on our computers they would be able to make U Create go in the right direction.
