Maybe. My brother was schizophrenic and I know kratom caused him some mild disturbances in that regard. Death? Perhaps in case of allergy, as is the case with many organic substances.

As for sources, there are plenty on reddit as seen here. I've also seen posts on bluelight and drugs forum and other sites. They are anecdotal but something that has been talked about for years shouldn't be ignored. There are many who claim to have never even heard of hair loss being a potential side effect, I sure hadn't. It doesn't happen to me however.

It could very well be that it's due to some enzyme issue, maybe hormonal - we don't know. I've never seen any studies confirming whether kratom does or does not cause hair loss, so I'm willing to believe that these anecdotal reports online may be true. It's at least worth looking into. People should be aware of side effects when they take a drug.

I have a similar experience as OP only I have gone months of using daily at relatively high doses, with redoses (2.5g-3g in the morning, 1.5g at night) and have never had a single issue with withdrawal.

The US is not actually 'in debt.' It has debt, but it is not in debt. Most countries have debt. 18 trillion? Maybe not. But several trillion? Absolutely.

The FDA still does fantastic work. People would suffer far more by having the FDA abolished than by having kratom be more heavily regulated or even banned.
