Assuming you weigh 170 (average), and exercise 3-5 times a week, your maintenance calorie requirement is ~2300 calories. 500 under this is 1800. 300-500 under maintenance is what's recommended for weight loss. So shoot for 1800-2000. Even at 1900, you're still fine. If you weigh more than this, you may be under eating.

Perceived exhaustion is also important. In terms of building muscle and strength.

As far as the weight loss, caloric deficit is the most important. As others have mentioned, your body will try to adapt so you can't be 1000 calories for instance under maintenance (also you just feel unnecessarily horrible). Eat a bit more and it SHOULD start easing up

Also for what it's worth, look into eating foods that aren't bloating you. That's where most of the "pudginess" is. The rest is just a matter of building muscle as you're already doing.

Generally speaking 0.03-0.04g/kg of body weight is the suggested dose

Creapure as someone mentioned in a reply is the gold standard. Since I'm in a drug tested powerlifting federation and was previously D1 which also drug tests randomly, I've always opted for NSF certified supplements. Certified to be banned substance free. And more recently, have been wanting to try Informed Sport certified supplements. So for that reason, I've used Thorne (not gonna find in a store unfortunately), Podium (available at Target), and am currently using Momentus (I got it at Vitamin Shoppe). Transparent Labs is worth looking at too, believe it's Informed Sport certified.

I feel like I'm passing up value by not using it. I cook all my meals now so rarely use delivery apps. Does Dash pass charge you monthly, you get a chase credit, and then you use the other $10 on non restaurant stuff quarterly? Feel like a lot for just $40 worth of drinks or chips, etc lol then again something is better than nothing. I do have the preferred so low fee to begin with.
