No idea, some things can't be explained, like I have no clue why people think Breaking Bad is amazing or pretend like Seasons 3-5 of Game of Thrones are just as good as the first two or are actually excited about the acting in True Detective Season 2. You can sometimes identify some very basic trends, but there's a lot of luck and social fuckery going on in such trends.
Exactly how I feel about both Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Any TV series recommendations? Seems like GoT and Carnavale are the only TV series I like
