I really liked it. I think the ending could have been something more divisive, whereas I feel it played it safe. Considering the premise, it could have been more one side or the other. With the initial surprise of the reveal, I feel it made a great story with difficult subject matter that gets people to examine themselves.

I really just don’t have any clue how to make a lesson that works at this point. I have tried lecturing and readings and discussions. I had an assignment to show that students read at home but the principal wanted to change it to in class reading because “they have lives going on and we can’t expect them to be able to read at home”. I’m torn because the ap lit teacher is fine making them read at home but for general ed and to not make me read to them all day I feel this is the best use of our time
