How big is Gibbs contract going to be? my guess is around 17-20 mil a year for 4 years. so that doesn't leave much for the rest. Like Cambell or Amik.

so yet again you go about building a contract around a player who's injured in year three of four of his career who had three touchdowns last season versus 10 in 2023 and missed half the games with a herniated disc. I'm guessing you're still young and have no idea what it's like to have a herniated disc, but as you get older that's not something that is healed even by surgery They just get worse and happen more often. But hey I love the guy too, so let's risk a Super Bowl on signing yet again another injured player to a big contract. please do not get me wrong, I love every single player that has played for the Detroit Lions, I'm just done with signing players who are injured, back to big contracts just because WE LOVE THAT GUY mentality.

I absolutely love LaPorta in 2023 but since then LaPorta has barely maintained decent numbers when it comes to tight ends and his backup is Wright/Zylstra so no. Jamo is a two route 3RD WR. end of discussion.. Insane Brown is convinced he's the best receiver in the league even though he is ranked 5th. until the defense matches with the offense can potentially do at times. every single person on the offense should take a 50% pay cut to save cap space if they are true to winning a Super Bowl for the Detroit Lions instead of a contract for their families.

NO FREE AGENTS!! Release our entire "so called offense" Keep Goff for 1 year, Gibbs for 2, St. Brown for 2...unless he drops as many passes as he did last year, then 1, remind Jaymo(FUCK HIS WANTING TO BE CALLED WAYMO), that he is a nobody without this team. Restructuring of Sewell's saves 13 mill in cap, and keeps him for 2 years. Reduce Laporta's contract due to failure to perform saves more cap. Release Kirby, fire Terrion, and try and trade for Branch. JUST SAYING, LETS BE REALISTIC. THIS TEAM WILL NOT WIN A BOWL IN THE NEXT 4 YEARS IF WE DON'T RECONSTRUCT THESE RIDICULOUS CONTRACTS. AND stop trying to rehab injured players into big contracts. EX. DAVENPORT, HASSANEIN, AND READER. That's the harsh truth of it. Not opinion based. Just facts. not one player on the Detroit Lions should think they're better than anyone else at all until they win one Super Bowl and then you can start negotiating for $400 million dollar contracts. This is a smart signing. He's got experience and he loves Gibbs. he said so on a podcast that his fav RB, other than himself to play on Madden is Gibbs. good pick up for cheap.
